We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christin Suzanne Wurst a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Christin Suzanne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, let’s jump into one of the most exciting parts of starting a new venture – how did you get your first client who was not a friend or family?
My first client outside of friends and family was a local bar in my neighborhood. I had fond memories of it from a year earlier, so I decided to stop by one evening to reconnect with my community. When I arrived, the atmosphere was surprisingly quiet.
I chatted with the bartender, who mentioned the bar had recently changed ownership and was planning a complete rebranding. They needed help getting things off the ground, and I immediately felt that I could contribute.
I told the bartender I could assist, and he connected me with the owner. After about five weeks of waiting, I kept visiting and getting to know the place better. Finally, I received a call to meet with the owner.
In that meeting, I presented my ideas, and to my excitement, he hired me on the spot. It was thrilling to earn my first dollar as a business owner, especially knowing it was from someone who believed in my skills.
Now, after several months of collaboration, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the bar thriving once again. That first dollar was more than just money; it marked the start of my journey in building a business and fostering community connections.

Christin Suzanne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a photographer, creative consultant, and digital marketer who is dedicated to helping small businesses stand out. With a background in professional photography and years spent in the creative world, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how powerful visuals and branding can elevate a business.
Throughout my career, I’ve noticed that many small businesses offer incredible products or services but often struggle to leverage the digital marketing landscape to their advantage. That’s where I come in. I provide a range of tailored services, including brand development, eye-catching website design and build-outs, and photography services like product shots, lifestyle branding, and headshots. Additionally, I specialize in social media and content creation strategy to help businesses effectively engage with their audience.
What sets me apart is my emphasis on collaboration and community. I believe that great branding comes from deep engagement with both the client and their audience. I take the time to listen and understand my clients’ unique needs and challenges, ensuring that the solutions I provide are personalized and impactful.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients and the success stories that have emerged from our collaborations. Watching a brand grow and thrive as a result of our work together is incredibly rewarding.
For potential clients, I want you to know that I’m here to partner with you on your journey. Your vision for your brand is my top priority. My approach is hands-on and tailored to help you achieve your goals with creativity and strategy, ensuring your small business truly stands out in the digital space.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe my reputation within the market has been built on a foundation of trust and reliability. A client once told me that he appreciated working with me because “I say what I do and do what I say”. This feedback really resonated with me and reflects my commitment to transparency and accountability.
I prioritize respecting timelines and providing exceptional customer service. I make it a point to ensure that my clients feel heard and valued, and I’m always willing to adjust my approach to meet their evolving needs. By fostering open communication and demonstrating a genuine investment in their success, I’ve been able to build lasting relationships that contribute to my positive reputation.

Have you ever had to pivot?
When I began my career, I poured my heart into photography. While I had some success, I quickly realized it was taking too long to make ends meet by relying solely on photos. After leaving my 9-to-5 job, I was fully committed, but as time went on, it became clear that I needed to diversify my income.
That’s when I decided to pivot. I took a step back to assess my skills and experiences, along with my passion for helping small businesses succeed. It hit me that I could leverage my creative talents to offer more than just photography – and that is when Christin Suzanne Creative was born.
I combined my knowledge of branding, digital marketing, and content creation to create a comprehensive service tailored to small businesses. This shift not only stabilized my income but also allowed me to make a real impact in my clients’ journeys.
