We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christian Goldstein a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Christian, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
We created Code: Lockdown as a safe space during the pandemic with live streamed music events, but as the pandemic ended, we threw ourselves into the live event industry. A year later, with over 17+ events, and over 60+ national and regional artists, we’re not stopping anytime soon! Our events create a positive light in the industry, specifically for bass music.
We’re very lucky to have partner with one of the best night clubs in the Tampa Bay area, TK Lounge., where the hospitality and service is unmatched. We’ve cultivated a unique atmosphere that can only be found at our events, You’d just have to be there to understand.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got started in the music industry as most people do. I went to my first EDM concert and got sucked right in. My first event being EDC Orlando, but over time, I wanted to get involved more with my local scene and started my own artist project. I eventually transitioned into an event promoter and talent buyer.. I used my skills as an artist to curate live events I would’ve loved to be apart of, giving artists the spotlight I believe they truly deserve.
With the focus of most of our events being bass music, we curate to that, diving into every lineup trying to curate a special vibe to give to our customers. We want every single person who walks into our event to feel safe, welcome, and expected to be blown away by great music and amazing vibes!
How did you build your audience on social media?
Truthfully, I have no experience in marketing, but I always loved playing with social media. As the project progressed, I learned more things, spent days looking up tutorials for marketing plans and ad marketing. Best advice I can give to someone is to just do it, look at what works better than others, and be creative. Always ask yourself “How can I have this look like something I would want to go to?”. Your personal touch will send that project to it’s next benchmark on social media. Always try to think inside and outside the box.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Our events simply speaks for themselves. We bring in international artists from around the world, top notch production, and an amazing team willing to learn and push the bounds of what event production can be!
