We recently connected with Christian Davis and have shared our conversation below.
Christian, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I have taken a lot of risk in my life. The biggest one for me was when me and my wife of 6yrs moved to Atlanta with our four kids. We have always been big risk takers because we see what we can both be in the future. My wife takes greater risk then I do which motivates me to be better. Ever since I moved to Atlanta I have been exposed to a lot more in the industry that’s helping me grow. Like directors, producers, writers and other actors who look out for each others success. I took the risk because I’m not afraid of a new and fresh start plus the opportunities that Atlanta has are perfect for me. I moved in 2019 and so far I been in 5 movies with a lot of auditions pending. It turned out great but I know there will be more challenging risk to take in my future.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m from Chicago, IL born and raised my whole childhood. After I graduated eighth grade I spent my teenage years in Plainfield/Joliet, IL. I actually met my wife and Joliet. We met in 2013 and got married in 2015, best decision I ever made honestly. I have 5 beautiful and healthy kids with her. I could not have asked for a better motivational/support group then my family I’m blessed. In 2019 I became a background actor. Now when I first started I had no idea what to do or how to start I was clueless. I’m lucky and fortunate enough to have a wife who did the research for me to put my foot in the door. My wife is the one who jump started my acting career I owe her the world and more. She believes in me even when there’s days I don’t believe in myself. The more I did background work the more I fell in love with films. Being an extra and other films I was curious to see how it all works, behind the scenes. I definitely felt like it was the right choice because I fell in love with it. Doing background work is where I had to network and build up my understanding on how this industry really works. After a year of doing background work I met somebody who knew a director which led me to get casted for my first flim as one of the leading actors. During the making of that movie I was in the process of moving to Atlanta to follow my dreams. The first few years was definitely about connecting with other people and learning the process. I also want to take this time to publicly thank my wife for everything she has done for me. Nothing goes unnoticed your special to me and this world. I love you xoxo

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Being myself has always been my number one strategy. Staying authentic is not easy for most people to do in this industry.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Speaking up for myself, going out to events and just all around trying to make my presence known. Networking is a major key to success.
