We recently connected with Christian Baldauf and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Christian, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is to help others find balance between order and chaos, a concept deeply personal to me as an artist. Too much order stifles creativity, while too much chaos creates confusion. I believe the right balance drives both growth and fulfillment. Through art and technology, I provide solutions that unlock creativity. What sets me apart is my ability to merge artistic expression with practical design, helping others embrace both structure and spontaneity to reach their full creative potential.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My creative brand, AprilMayRain, inspires others through multimedia to embrace both creativity and productivity. I want my audience to feel empowered, discovering the balance between a structured lifestyle and spontaneous freedom. Through various mediums, I help creatives flow in their workspaces, unlocking their full potential.

Have you ever had to pivot?
When I went off to college, I found myself without the space to paint which led me to seek new ways to express my creativity. This shift pushed me to start creating video content where I learned camera techniques and editing software. Though it was a break from painting, this pivot helped me develop valuable skills that ultimately enhanced my creativity and opened up new opportunities.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Perfection once held me back completely as I believed everything had to be flawless. I focused too much on order, striving for control and perfect results. Over time, I realized that the pursuit of perfection hindered my growth—nothing ever felt finished. As the quote goes, “Perfection is the enemy of progress.” I learned to embrace chaos, while rebalancing order, allowing creativity to flourish. Once I accepted imperfection, my work became more authentic, and I discovered a renewed creative expression.
