We were lucky to catch up with Christa Griffin, MBA recently and have shared our conversation below.
Christa, appreciate you joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I would be lying if I told you that I have always wanted to be an author. I wanted to be an entrepreneur, YES; However, I was not sure what that would look like and how to even start it. I also did not know any authors at that time. I’ve always had great ideas, I’ve always been a dreamer, and I like to make money. So how did I start? I prayed about it, established my why behind it, and started writing in my notes that same day. I knew that it would not happen overnight, but something powerful happened when I started writing DMFS. I got lost in it. I had never had that feeling before. That’s called passion. That is how I knew that I was exactly where I needed to be. One of my favorite mantras is, “One day or day one?” I love that mantra because it reminds me just to get started and your dreams will start to manifest. The three main things for me were: staying disciplined, 100% ownership, and having fun with it. You have to decide what is important to you and then decide that you are willing to stop at nothing to get there. It all starts with the mindset first. Three years in and I am still learning, growing, and evolving as an entrepreneur.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Christa Griffin, the heart and soul behind Allthingscg.
My story begins as an author, creative, and dreamer. What started as a leap of faith transformed into the creation of Daily Mantra for SIS, a journal that became a vessel for dreams, thoughts, and healing. This endeavor marked the birth of Allthingscg, a space where women are empowered, mental health is prioritized, and dreams find their voice.
In the heart of Allthingscg, I curate empowering journals. Daily Mantra for Him/SIS isn’t merely ink on paper; it’s a tool for transformation. What sets Allthingscg apart is our commitment to authenticity, doing the inner work, and community.
I extend an invitation to you, our potential clients, followers, and friends, to dive into the transformative world of Allthingscg. Join us in exploring, dreaming, and healing together.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I first moved to Dallas, I was determined to get my journals on the shelf. I googled all of the bookstores in Dallas and made my list. I found a local Christian bookstore in my area and I talked to the manager about the process of getting them in the stores, he instructed me to leave my book there so that they could check it out to see if it would do well in their location or not. I followed up two weeks later, he needed more time. A month later, still no updates. In my mind, I am like wow they must like it. They’re making me wait so long, this has to be good news coming. A week later, the manager called me and told me that it was not a good fit for them at this time. They’re not interested. I could have easily given up, I had just moved to the city. I was upset and disappointed. I had a great idea and product, and why did he not see that?
I went home and went back to the drawing board. That day back in 2018, I decided that I was not taking no for an answer. I shifted my perspective on the way that I handle no’s. Keep this in mind, this will not be your first or last time hearing no. Get used to it. Three years later, I am in three local bookstores in DFW. The moral of the story, keep going.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
In the process of trying to be everything to everyone, they neglected a crucial truth: you cannot pour from an empty cup. Witnessing the exhaustion, stress, and burnout in these remarkable women, I realized the weight of this lesson. This realization became a catalyst for change, not just for me but for the next generation.
Encouraging the women in my family to prioritize self-care is a transformative journey. We began to embrace the concept that self-care isn’t selfish; it’s an act of self-preservation. Through conversations, shared experiences, and leading by example, we started to shift the narrative. This unlearning process became a powerful journey of growth and healing.
