We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chrissy Koulouris a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Chrissy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How do you think about vacations as a business owner? Do you take them and if so, how? If you don’t, why not?
Yes and frequently! I belive we all need to take a break, get out of the routine, and see some place new. Going away always helps me recoup and get my creative flow going when I feel stuck, uninspired, and let imposter syndrome take over me.
Chrissy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Chrissy Koulouris owner of Jetlagged Roamer. I am a travel blogger and social media content creator who is ecstatic to share my travel guides, experiences, and tips from my travels to help others. Along with my services I assist those with blogging tips for Google and Pinterest to boost traffic to their blog. My additional services include handling the social media accounts for restaurants and cafes in Miami-Dade county.
I have managed my company now for 3 years and I have eagerly expanded my services for blogging and social media. It brings me joy to blog about my journeys, create content for tourism boards and hotels, assist others with their blog, and revamp Instagram accounts for small businesses.
One project I am most proud of is writing an ebook to help those struggling with Pinterest to generate blog traffic. Those who have purchased my ebook, it makes me excited to see their feedback. When I get screenshots of the improvement with their analytics or the ease of my instructions it truly makes me realize I am going in the right direction.
Nothing brings me more joy than helping others bring traffic to their blog and bringing awareness to small businesses in the city I love.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building a social media presence organically is a lot of work. However, it is worth putting in the time to build an honest following. It is very crucial to be yourself, people can sense who is genuine or not. Ask your audience what they want to learn from you and create that content, but only if that is something you are knowledgeable and passionate about. Respond to all your comments, and not just with a generic response. It also helps to look for trends and trending music and create content with those trends in your niche.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Honesty! I show my results and what has worked for me and share the news to help others.
