We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chrissy Das. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chrissy below.
Chrissy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
I launched my writing business back in 2015 under the name Content with Chrissy, LLC, and wrote website content, edited books, and was ghostwriting nonfiction topics for business owners. I’ve had a few rebrands as I’ve narrowed down my niche and found my focus.
In 2021, I launched my new brand (I)nvisible Writer, to better explain how I work with aspiring and seasoned authors. As a book coach and ghostwriter, most of the ways I help my clients is from behind the scenes. I am able to keep the author front and center with some invisible writing assistance.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a ghostwriter and book coach for thriving leaders working on their next nonfiction book. My start in the publishing world was back in 2009 as an editor. I was very lucky to intern during college for an independent book publisher in Charleston, South Carolina, called Joggling Board Press. It was during this time that I learned about the publishing world on both a macro and micro level.
I still edit a dozen or so manuscripts a year, but now I primarily serve my clients by helping them check “Write a book” off their to-do list a lot quicker. My clients are service-based business owners and creative professionals who want to use the best words to communicate life-changing ideas.
My focus on business and leadership is because of my own curiosity about what makes entrepreneurs successful and influential. I am so proud of my authors because I see their lives change for the better when they share their message.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I started Content with Chrissy, I can now look back and recognize my scarcity mindset. I was so concerned about getting enough clients and making enough money that I took on any writing job that came my way. I wrote blog posts, website copy, and any other thing that crossed my desk.
I was good at writing all of these things but my passion was in books. As my confidence in my writing craft continued to grow, I was able to prune my many offerings into the ones that made the biggest impact for my clients.
It is the moment that my authors see their work in print that I can celebrate releasing their message into the world. They can leave a legacy of their experience and share the lessons learned.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I am fortunate that I have never been a shy person and build relationships easily. The best and most consistent source of new clients for me have been publishing companies. I have built trust with multiple publishers and others in the publishing industry who know that I will take their client on a seamless journey from writer’s block to quality manuscript.
Business and executive coaches are also welcome sources of new clients because they know what a book can do for their client’s career or business. The coaches who refer to me know that their client is in experienced hands and they appreciate my help in getting their client across the finish line to a great book.
