Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chrisbert Telesford. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chrisbert, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project ive ever worked on thus far is called Vibr8tions by myself (Algorythm-C).
Its a musical project that i created that embodies the sound of the music that i create on my workstation at home. I sat down and over the years crafted together a musical masterpiece that i always go back and listen to and Quizzically ponder on how I even came up with each track.. Its meaningful to me because of the time it took for me to create the project. The titles also illustrate my thought process for each song from my wife to even having humility and being grateful for to God. Vibrations function at high and low frequencies, inside and around us everyday. If your vibration is low it will be evident; it’s simply a matter of bringing awareness to your situation and then working on rectifying it. When your vibration is high its that beautiful sense of living in the flow. Always find something beautiful, be grateful for it, show acts of kindness, get your blood flowing. Make someone smile everyday. This piece of music has a soothing vibe. Something you can enjoy anytime..

Chrisbert, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Algorythm-C aka”#AlgoC” I’m native of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, known for my experimental approach to music production. Algorythm-C credits his father “Bertram Telesford” for his interest/ influence in the music he creates. His father known for his contributions to Temple Air Strings, an early 80″s Gospel band at Faith Temple Church in St Vincent & the Grenadines. Algorythm-C is also inspired by his favorite songs Busta Rhymes “When Disaster Strikes” LP, “Hipster Girl” by Sango & Xavier Omär, Not ashamed by Newsboys and Moving Forward by peace2irin. Algorythm-C is heavily influenced by R&B, Hip hop, Reggae, Gospel, Soca and loves creating music since 2002.. Im most proud of the beat battles ive particpated in the past despite not winning any of them. Its also great just to collaborate with so many other artist and producers through the years and build an unique relationship as music has been the commonality and the bond that links us together with every sound. Im also proud of being a part of a small group called Sword Warriors. Its a rites of passage program for young men through my church at GDLA (Greater Deliverance COGIC). It has been an honor to be a part of the young men lives through out the years and to see them grow into the Men that God has called them to be. Ive seen most of them grow up right before my very eyes and its amazing to see their growth and be able to give back to young men the way my elders, uncles, aunties, church family have given to me in the past whether t be amazing words of encouragement or highly constructive criticism

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My mission and goal has always been to impact this world with Kindness.
Its an act that doesnt require a lot but it can also be hard to give when your not in a great mood.
It has always been my goal to convey kindness and love in the music that i create, which usally leads to bright and laid back sounds. What also drives my creativity on my journey is the fact that I have the ability to create any sound that i listen to and be able to put it out on any platform. I know for artist are music creators in the past, putting out music on wax was very expensive and was not a common luxury like we do now. So i dont take that for granted.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
In my view, i believe that society can show best support for artist by going to random music shows especially if its someone you know. Seing friends and family in person when performing live is such an incredible feeling. Also supporting the art monetarily goes a long way for an artist.
