We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chris Vance. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chris below.
Chris, appreciate you joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
Keep things small. I definitely work pretty much solo. I have a builder for my frames but a lot of the responsibilities are on me

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Artist working in the Midwest and throughout the United States. Abstract painter working in acrylics and spray paints. I’m influenced by skateboard graphics, graffiti, and beavis and butthead. I currently explain that at this point in my career I’m selling creativity.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Covid. In my industry a lot of my peers waited to see what was going to happen. I was super reactive and found a job in an industry that wasn’t going away. So I didn have to spend my capital

How did you build your audience on social media?
During Covid. I was working a full time job and my best friend Mike Dudley and I were talking and we came up with the idea of doing drops on social media accounts and start making funny videos that would promote what I was going to be selling the following weekend.
