Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chris Schwenk. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chris, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s something crazy on unexpected that’s happened to you or your business
When I was about a year into sales, I was extremely frustrated with my lack of results. I pulled the top two sales reps in my office aside and asked them “if you were me, what would you do tomorrow?”. Their advice would completely change the trajectory of my career. Essentially, the answers they gave were totally pointless and meandering. I realized they were more successful than me not due to anything special they were doing, they simply had more contacts than me. From there, I was laser-focused on expanding my network as quickly as possible and have not looked back since. Although it is used a lot these days, the quote “your network is your net worth” really is true.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Therefore, we are not only a source of talent but also a source of new job opportunities for all of our clients.
My business has given me the unique opportunity to get paid to help people level up their careers. I have had lots of people thank me for what I have done for them and their families. That is much more satisfying than any financial success I have been able to achieve.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I built my reputation by connecting with my clients on a human level. Many of my clients have told me they really appreciate that I will still follow up with them even if they don’t have any business for me at the moment.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
My network grows on itself at this point. When my contacts go to a new client, they bring me with them. I then meet new contacts and follow them to new companies when they leave. This creates a snowball effect where I am constantly getting new clients.
