We recently connected with Chris Rodway and have shared our conversation below.
Chris, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I am working to build a legacy that will last much longer than I will. & if I can accomplish that & leave a positive impact on the world through my work, that’s all I could ever hope for. I want my story to be proof that anybody willing to do what it takes really can do it!
Chris, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Chris Rodway, I’m a tv/film producer, an actor, & the lead singer for the hard rock band Madam Riot!
My company currently specializes in creating horror/thriller projects of various nature & mediums, including tv, film, graphic novels, & more! We have several active projects in different stages of development right now.
As a singer, my band Madam Riot plays all over SoCal, we sell out shows & rock hard!! We just released our debut EP, & are very excited to keep the train rolling & continue to get bigger & better!
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I met my business partner Alex Headley in acting class. We both trained at the same school, & right from the beginning we were instant best friends! We worked hard together in our training, & spent a lot of time hanging out outside of class too.
Then one day we were discussing what we felt was missing in a lot of new content today, & found we were on the same page on many levels there too! This led to us coming up with an idea for a couple of projects, & we decided to try & develop one together. Things went amazingly, we work off of each other very well & compliment one another’s strengths, so we decided to just go for it & formally partnered up!
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Actually there’s quite a lot of them! To name a few that helped in very different aspects, Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss is a great one on the topic of negotiations.
The Artist’s Way is one dealing mainly with mindset and habit forming that I could not recommend more highly, & a lot of very successful creatives I know would say the same!
Could keep the list going, but really the best recommendation I could make is just to constantly seeking out more knowledge, always be reading, listening to, watching, observing, learning, & growing at every opportunity!
