We were lucky to catch up with Chris Roberts recently and have shared our conversation below.

Chris, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.

From Good Morning America, to going viral on Tik Tok, Outdoor Gravity Park get’s to make the bucket list zorbing experience for many! One of our recent guests saw zorbing for the first time back in 2004 on The Amazing Race! From there on, zorbing was his one experience that she knew he had to do. When he found out our park was in the USA, he instantly booked a trip to Pigeon Forge, and tickets to our park! This guest was one of our 20 who have completed our OGP Challenge- which includes running inside the orb the entire length of the track! On average, our park has thousands that try to achieve this accomplishment per year, but a small percentile make it across the finish line!

Chris, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

In 2005, Chris Roberts went to New Zealand, and saw the viral sensation of zorbing come to life! He knew he had to bring this activity to the USA! He sold his house to build Outdoor Gravity Park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! Chris Roberts built this park from the ground up, including the only functional lift of its kind! From there, his small family-owned business had been featured on Good Morning America, The Travel Channel, Park’d America’s Got Talent, Late Night with David Letterman, and Nickelodeon at Night!

This park is the only zorbing park in the states! The unique experience, is one to remember, and perfect for guests who love a thrill! The zorbing experience entails diving into an 11 foot orb with 10 gallons of water, and slip and sliding down your entire track! Our park has 3 different tracks available, with 3 different experiences! Zorbing is an experience the entire family can enjoy! Ages 5 and up are able to ride! The park is open year round, with heated water in the cooler months, and cool water in the summer months!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Although social media is how we’re typically found, we pride ourselves on our customer service! Our staff knows that zorbing isn’t an experience most people have done before, and are happy to answer any questions! Our love of the zorbing experience is contagious, and many guests inform them that it really creates the perfect experience for them! The time spent at our park is typically posted on social media, as well as many reviews about the experience!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Social media has helped us share our love of zorbing with the world! Our small family owned business started our Tik Tok in 2020 after a guest told us they saw a video about us! We jumped on the app, and realized that zorbing videos were peaking people’s interest! We kept up with posting, and ended up going viral more times than expected! We went from a couple guests mentioning they saw us on Tik Tok, to hearing it daily! Our advice it to show what makes you special!
