We were lucky to catch up with Chris & Rachel Taylor recently and have shared our conversation below.
Chris & Rachel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?
Redeemed Chiropractic is a husband and wife clinic and was born in July of 2022 after the birth of our first son. There was multiple reasons we decided to open, but most importantly we wanted to have a good family and work life balance in the future. We believe family is so important and wanted to set our work schedule up for the best success in the future to be there for our kids as they grow up. Another reason of starting our own business was after the birth of our first son Luke, Rachel had unplanned complications leaving her to take a 6 month maternity leave. During this time the Lord opened the door for us to leave our current job to open Redeemed Chiropractic. During Rachel’s unplanned maternity leave she had plenty of time to build the business. She built the website, opened an LLC, did all the necessary tax information, got involved in the community and did marketing, and everything else you could think of to build a business. Some challenges we faced was starting from ground zero and trusting the right people would find us, not being fearful of a new start while having a newborn at home. Now almost 2 years into business I would tell a new professional to not let fear or worries take over from reaching there goals.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We are a husband and wife clinic that specializes in prenatal, pediatric, and overall family wellness care. Dr. Chris Taylor has an Athletic training background from Liberty University. He enjoys weightlifting and sports and loves serving that population. Dr. Rachel Spicer has a Division I gymnastics background from the University of Florida. She loves sports and family time. Since becoming a mom she loves serving the mom and pediatric population through chiropractic care. Redeemed Chiropractic is set apart from other offices as we use a team approach being a husband and wife. We love serving the entire family. Many times Dr. Taylor will see the husband while Dr. Spicer takes care of the mom and kid. It is fun to have a family practice and very proud about it. We want potential new patients to know anyone and everyone can benefit from chiropractic care and we would love to serve you and help you. You don’t have to have neck and low back pain to see a chiropractor. Chiropractic is a nervous system reset and we look at your entire system to see where stress might be underlying. We would love for you to connect with us and follow us on Instagram to stay up to date on all the good happening at Redeemed Chiropractic.
How’d you meet your business partner?
We met in chiropractic school as students and got married towards the end of school. We make our marriage the most important priority. A good marriage is important for home life and work life. We both have to be on the same team to serve our patients well.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
We had to make an extreme pivot in work life after the birth of our son. Rachel’s body shut down after birth and in the midst of a hard season this allowed a new door to be opened. We always wanted to open our own business but wasn’t sure the timing. The door opened very clearly and this is how Redeemed was born and even brought tbe name of our business.
