We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful C.A.M. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with C.A.M below.
Alright, C.A.M thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I learned to do what I do by listening from a young age and trying to imitate those who I looked up to. To speed up the learning process I wish I had someone really from the industry to take me under their wing. However I feel that the best skill that’s essential is having a genuine and pure heart. You can have whatever skill in the world you want but without that it’s purposeless. I believe the obstacles that have stood in my way is myself. I have always self doubted and compared my self to others and it discouraged me but not I feel that I’m walking into my own and that is what’s helping to learn more about my craft.

C.A.M, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m an Artist, Musician, Producer, and Songwriter that came from a church background. I got into this industry by studying and trying to connect myself those who I looked up to. I perform live shows as an artist and as a musician with a band named BlacCollar which I’m apart of . I feel like what sets me apart from others is the way that I carry myself not physically but mentally and emotionally. I feel like when It comes to being genuine and having a good heart there’s not a lot that can out-love the way that I do. The thing I’m most proud of is being able to wake up and have a gift to share with others! I have a new EP Coming out soon that I’m very excited to say I’ve been waiting to deposit into the world !

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of doing what I do is when people actually receive and feel what I’m doing. There is no point or purpose if no one feels what I’m doing or feel where it’s coming from. They have to be able to tell that it’s coming straight from the heart, and it’s so rewarding when others can identify that about me.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The mission that’s driving me to do what I do is to leave a legacy where people all over the world in some way shape, form, or fashion are touched by the work I’ve put in and the connections and relationships that I’ve made along the way. It’s always for the next person . Someone had to do it for me. It’s only right to help the next person.
