We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chris Garza. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chris below.
Chris , appreciate you joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?
I actually manage my own social media. When I first started using them it was just to keep in contact with everyone! I don’t think anyone realized how big these social media platforms could get or would get and I was always creative outside social media so I started posting a bunch of photography I would take and it just took off from there!! And I used to want someone to manage my accounts but then as a creative it takes away from you “yourself” your vision and I think it can hurt a artist in that way.. It’s like taking your creative ability away and placing it in someone’s hands.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I honestly picked up photography and Videography In middle school around the time I started Skating, then it branched out to the fashion Side of it with Street wear, and then mixing different styles from 70’s to early 2000’s seeing what our family’s were into and mixing it all with the music industry and Creating my own Lane. The only thing I can think of is just to create what you want without a thought or if it is thought out, just make sure you do it before the next person does! As a creative never copy someone’s work if anything recreate and give credit I think that’s what makes people stand out. To check my work out follow me on Instagram @peaceking47 I style, Shoot all my own work, edit & graphic design for Artists, Models, Musician’s, Dj’s, ect.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Just to do everything yourself, be in control of your own space and time around you, especially if you’re trying to build a company of your own…to anyone that wants to be their own boss and always treat people/clients/ potential business partners with respect and never belittle anyone. Because I believe Good relationships can take your far!

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Lol, honestly I wish I messed around with more editing programs growing up would have saved a little time ha But it’s all about the journey we all gotta go thru a process to get to where we wanna go!
