We were lucky to catch up with Chris Edwards recently and have shared our conversation below.

Chris, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

Become a author, I am a retired New York City Firefighter/ First responder to September 11, 2001. I wanted to leave my children with stories of my Life , so they would have something to hand to their children. the Book “Coming Through the Flames my Life in the FDNY” telling the stories of my life. The book goes through my 17 year career in the FDNY, It tells stories of the good times, sad times , difficult times. Its messages of Hope , Faith and Never Giving up are some of those messages.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

i am a retired NYC firefighter with the FDNY. I served with the FDNY for 17 years. I was a member of Engine-42 and Engine-81 in the Bronx, NY. I was also a first responder during the tragedies that surrounded the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in Manhattan. I currently serves as a member of DART team, Disaster Assistance Response Team who deploys during disasters to assist individuals, families and communities during a disaster. I also do volunteer with the Tunnel to towers foundation ,telling stories of that horrific day. I am also a big proponent of “giving back” to all who helped during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. My book “Coming Through the Flames my Life in the FDNY” is a memoir dedicated to my children, some of whom did not get to see their me as a fireman since i retired before their birth. I currently lives in Orange County, NY with his family.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I use Social Media to promote my book and to tell the stories of giving back.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Helping people improve their lives. by writing about my struggles in life, so other people can grow strength.
