We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chris Charm a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Chris , appreciate you joining us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?

I am more happier than I’ve ever been in my life. Some people aspire to go to medical school to be a Doctor. Maybe even law school to be a lawyer. I’ve never wanted to be anything other than an actor. I’ve been on stage and performing since the 3rd grade. My love for my craft is a fulfillment that no other career path could have given me.

Chris , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I moved to Atlanta about almost 7 years ago to pursue my acting career. My journey has definitely had its ups and downs; but it has been a part of my story and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I credit myself on my work ethic. Anything I put my mind to, i tirelessly strive to be the best at, and acting is no different. Everyday I’m working to be better than I was yesterday. I am most proud of my perseverance. Even in my darkest moments I’ve never lost sight of goals and I’ve never given up. I always want to be a beacon of motivation for anyone chasing their dreams.. NEVER GIVE UP….. It’s coming.!!!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I was always told to have a backup plan, a plan b. I believe with my whole heart if you have a plan b, you are planning to not succeed with your plan A. I had to unlearn that way of thinking. This is the plan. This is it. If I have restructure my plan a few times then I’ll do that but I won’t quit ever.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I want to chase my dreams and be a motivation to my family and friends. I want my dreams to open up the opportunity for me to Create opportunities for others.
