We recently connected with Chris Armstrong and have shared our conversation below.
Chris, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
There is not just one defining moment. I have had a lot of moments in my 24-year career, but it’s all about helping people, especially the ones who need help at the most critical times in their lives. One of the most rewarding times was when I started working with the Charitable Foundation and was able to give back to the community and help others in need.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As a police officer, I have seen firsthand the need to help others in the community. When I became President of the Charitable Foundation, our team volunteers began raising money. In the past four years, we have raised over one hundred and seventy thousand dollars, of which all proceeds have been donated to help others. To name a few we have helped families of Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty, natural disaster victims, domestic violence victims, and troubled and abandoned youth, just to name a few.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I had to do it again, I would choose the same profession. Because I started my career in my late thirties, the only thing I would do is start my career sooner.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
The best advice I would give anyone is to be honest and transparent, and the people you manage you must keep them involved with decisions, and they must have a say in what you are working for.
