Alright, Chris & Angelica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
We believe that great food and great service should compliment each other. We did not start this business to be “vibey” or to serve mediocre food. We want people to have the best food they’ve ever tasted and receive great service. If you read our reviews on Google and Yelp I believe that’t one thing that sets us apart from others in the industry. We don’t get it right 100 percent of the time but we’re continuing to do our best.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
We first opened Flavor Rich Food Truck in April of 2018 and 2 years later in August of 2020 we opened Flavor Rich Restaurant in the midst of a global pandemic. The business was born from a passion for cooking and a love of serving people. We offer all food service needs from catering small gatherings, food truck catering to personal chef services and corporate catering . Our clients and guests come to us because they know they are going to get the best quality food and service. We are most proud of how far we’ve come in the industry. It was not easy going through and pandemic. We are so grateful to GOD and blessed that people still supported us during that time. I think what sets us apart from others in the industry is that we really have a passion for this. People can feel that when patronize us both in the restaurant and the food truck.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Our best source of new clients is word of mouth. People always tell us stories of how they heard about us and 90% of the time it is from another guests who comes to us all the time. Even in the beginning when we just had the food truck people would book us for events because someone told them about how they had our food at a festival. It so awesome to know that our growth and success has come from being consistent in the food we serve and the service we give. It’s cool when you hear that from your guests and its not just hype from social media.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Staffing has not been the easiest since the pandemic…At All. I think this is the toughest part of being an entrepreneur today. We always want to make sure our team feels appreciated and valued. Some days are harder than others but we do our best to build up our team. With managing our team we also make sure they have that same love and passion for people as we do. I do believe that is the most important factor. If they are just in place for a check I don’t believe it would work.
