We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chris Ambrosio a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Chris, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
I have helped a patient the was highly allergic to seafood. He was so bad that he would have to use an epi pen if he consumed any seafood. He can eat seafood now without a problem. I do a blend of chiropractic, functional medicine, hands on therapies.
Chris, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I was a lifelong athlete and martial artist. I got really hurt in a karate tournament in high school. I had such intense back pain and numbness that radiated down my leg. After a referral from a friend, I went to a chiropractor. Not only did it help me with my back pain, but it helped improve my allergies. This personal healing experience inspired my journey into holistic healthcare.
I combine advanced chiropractic techniques with the principles of functional and holistic medicine to offer a unique, integrative approach to health and healing. I use different type of therapies like: neurofeedback testing, cranial therapy, emotional work, allergy relief therapy, infrared, laser therapy, and detoxification programs. My goal is to get to the root cause of the symptoms. I look at the digestive system, the circulatory system, the lymphatic system, and of course the nervous system. Whether a patient is struggling with chronic pain, fatigue, inflammation, or stress-related issues, I use a personalized approach to help them get better.
I have helped so many people with such a variety of health complaints. Most recently, I had a patient come in with severe vertigo. I used a biofeedback health scan as well as kinesiology, and chiropractic techniques. Within a couple of visits her neck pain and vertigo were better. I have found that learning is a never ending approach. Even after years of practice and working with patients, I love to learn about new techniques, therapies and testing. All of these things make me a better doctor and allow me to help more people. It’s a passion of mine. I was a pilot and flight instructor during college, I was going to join the airlines at one point but decided to dedicate my life to helping people improve their quality of life. i made the right decision.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I was in chiropractic school, I was struggling with cold hands and feet as well as brain fog. I found a holistic practitioner that used a form of biofeedback testing (one of the tools I use today). They put me on a regimen of specific supplements and herbs. After a few weeks I noticed that my hands were no longer cold and my focus and energy had really improved. This was an eye opener. I ended up working for the company for a while after I graduated. It was a great learning experience. the knowledge that I gained from working there was immense.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I had started out working with different chiropractors and different partnerships. I learned that for me, being in my own practice was best. When you have two people with different ideas of how to run a practice, that can be tough. i went out on my own and it was the best decision for me.
