We were lucky to catch up with Chloe Lang recently and have shared our conversation below.
Chloe, appreciate you joining us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
One thing my parents did right was put me in every sport, extracurricular activity, music and dance lessons, theatre programs, and provide me with the opportunity to engage in various hobbies. Growing up I was always on the go. When I wasn’t in school, I was at dance practice, a soccer game, guitar lessons, art class, singing lessons, or playing outside with my neighborhood friends. Ive alway felt because I was raised with so much opportunity around me and ability to participate in all these different types of activities, its helped me become the creative, aspirational, hard-working person I am today.
Chloe, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I grew up in a small town in Connecticut on the shore, and from a very young age loved all things creative: from drawing and painting, to dancing, singing and playing instruments, to photography, to acting and performing. I am lucky enough to have grown up in a very loving and supportive household, where my interests and passions were nurtured. By the age of 10, I was commuting to NYC to audition regularly, and booked my first lead role as Stephanie in the children’s international TV show “LazyTown”. My entire life changed in a matter of weeks, when I moved to Iceland to film the show for two years. My mom came with me, and I had to say goodbye to my family and friends for the time being, but it was ultimately one of the best experiences of my life, which is a story in and of itself! At 15, I attended a visual arts high school while also being a competitive dancer, aspiring actress, and a full time student in public school. After graduating from 2 high schools, I attended Pace University in Manhattan, where I graduated in 2023 with High Honors and a BBA in Arts and Entertainment Management. While continuing to act, train, and audition on the side, I was determined to earn a business degree and was able to explore different career options, learn more about the industry I love, while simultaneously becoming an adult and learning a lot about myself in the process. Today, I am a full-time actress, model, and content creator living in New York City going on my sixth year, and couldn’t be more content.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part aspect of being in the creative field for me, is getting to work on different projects and with different people, doing something I love that inspires me and can potentially reach and inspire or educate others as well. It’s so rewarding. I love feeling proud of the work I put out in the world and love being able to work with other creative humans!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Being able to connect with, entertain, and tell stories to people all over the world through the art of acting and photography.
