We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ching Bling a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Ching thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Every event I have is so meaningful to me. I believe I get a chance to connect with the community in a positive and uplifting way. I believe everyone should feel, seen, heard and complimented. The world can be so cruel. I hope my events can be a safe space.

Ching, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I started off by having fun on social media looking for the next cool content to make! This includes gems all over my face, glitter, flowers in my hair and so much more. I attended someone else’s event and felt inspired to do my own. I ran my first ever Fashion Gala and got so many compliments on how I hosted! After that I fell in love and wanted more. I hope to make a mark on anyone who leaves my events.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I definitely would say part of it was growing up with an ambitious family. I was raised around people who value hard work. On top of my cultural background- I think it’s important for minorities to achieve their dreams. We come from many obstacles and bad experiences by being who we are. I want to change that.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding thing is leaving an imprint and inspiring others to follow their deepest dreams and desires. I want people to feel like they can find their niche!
