Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chief Mark Corona. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chief Mark, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I wear two hats (no, not literally)—each with a mission that’s unique, exciting, and just a bit quirky!
First, as a national trivia host, I lead the country’s ONLY game show designed to retain, engage, and electrify audiences. Our trivia game is more than just questions; it’s high-energy, high-impact, and yes, it has customers coming back for more!
Second, I’m the Chief Border Agent of Slowjamastan, the world’s newest nation with a noble goal: to unite people worldwide in laughter, satire, and a mutual disdain for Crocs. Together, we’re building a nation that’s equal parts fun and fantastic!

Chief Mark, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Mark Corona, and my journey has been a wild ride through radio, trivia, and, believe it or not, founding a nation.
My career kicked off in radio and TV hosting, where I spent over 25 years energizing audiences, bringing people together through music, and learning the art of connection. But I wanted to make even more of an impact, and that’s when I turned to trivia hosting. Today, I’m proud to say I run the only national trivia game show in the U.S., designed specifically for corporate events. It’s high-energy, interactive, and memorable—perfect for clients who want a truly unique experience to engage their employees or customers. I help companies boost loyalty, keep their audience entertained, and deliver unforgettable moments.
On the flip side, I’m also the Chief Border Agent of Slowjamastan, a satirical country that I co-founded. Slowjamastan is a place where fun and unity meet, with laws as quirky as banning Crocs and celebrating raccoons as our national animal. What I love most about Slowjamastan is how it brings people from all over the world together through laughter and shared values—even if they’re a little silly.
I’m most proud of building something different—whether it’s with trivia or Slowjamastan. I believe in the power of creating unique experiences and building connections, and that’s what sets my work apart. I want clients and fans to know that when you book me, you’re getting more than just a speaker; you’re getting a full experience that’s fun, engaging, and unforgettable.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I stay connected with clients and foster brand loyalty by creating ongoing, meaningful interactions that feel personal and engaging. My go-to methods include custom trivia events, personalized video messages, and active social media engagement.
First, I offer a variety of trivia events for clients to keep their teams engaged and entertained year-round. This includes regular virtual or live trivia sessions tailored to their company culture, which keeps employees connected and gives everyone something to look forward to. For extra engagement, I use Positive Video Messages (PVMs) where I send brief, personalized videos directly to clients. These messages are a simple but impactful way to stay connected, provide encouragement, and show genuine appreciation.
I believe quick communication and a personal touch go a long way in building trust. In Slowjamastan, we say, “The customer is our most valuable citizen,” and I bring that same philosophy into every client relationship.
This high-energy, personalized approach keeps clients coming back and feeling like they’re part of something truly unique.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Building my reputation in the market has been all about authenticity, high-energy engagement, and strong, personal communication. I’ve always believed that real connections come from showing up as yourself, bringing passion into your work, and making each interaction memorable—whether it’s in person, through media, or in follow-up conversations.
Media appearances also played a role in building my reputation. Through Slowjamastan, our satirical nation, we’ve been featured on CNN, Fox, Yahoo, and I even spoke at NATO 2024.
These platforms have introduced my brand to a wider audience and added credibility, showing that I can bring humor and engagement to any setting—from corporate boardrooms to the world stage.
