Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chief Griffey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Chief, thanks for joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I think I started right on time. I started making music back in 2020 when my director at work upset me and I said out loud that “People are sitting on million dollar talents but rarely work on them due to a job” I went home after my shift and wrote my first song “Grind it on me” after recording it i was shocked like this is really good, I should release it. Which I did and the rest is history. I believe if I started earlier in life I wouldn’t take it as seriously, I was playing college football before making music and that’s where most of my focus was. I wouldn’t change anything, I feel God had this plan for me at the moment I started, so I have no regrets.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I go by Chief Griffey, but a lot of people also know me as the Vibe King—a name that truly captures what I bring to the table. I’m an artist, a storyteller, and a curator of energy. My music isn’t just about sound; it’s about feeling. Whether it’s a track that makes you move, a song that gets you in your emotions, or a vibe that just sticks with you, I’m all about creating experiences that resonate.
How I Got Started
Music has always been a part of my life, but the real moment I knew this was my calling was when I saw how my sound could connect with people on a deeper level. I started out just making music for myself, for my own expression, but when I realized the impact it had on others—how it could lift them up, make them reflect, or even just give them a moment to escape—I knew I had to take it seriously.
What I Bring to the Industry
My sound is unique because it blends raw storytelling with infectious melodies. I take pride in making music that’s both authentic and relatable. Whether it’s about triumphs, struggles, love, or just enjoying life, my music is a reflection of real experiences.
I also focus on promotion and branding, especially on platforms like TikTok, where I engage with my audience in a way that makes them feel like they’re part of the journey. I don’t just make songs; I create moments that people want to share, vibe to, and live through.
What Sets Me Apart
I’m not just an artist—I’m a movement. The name Vibe King isn’t just for show; it represents how I approach music, life, and connection. I’m about uplifting people, whether through my sound, my message, or my presence.
Beyond music, I’m also deeply involved in outreach work. I guide people who may be lost toward a more positive path, working to make communities safer through patience, understanding, and real engagement. That passion for people and positive change bleeds into everything I do—including my music.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m proud of the impact I’ve made—not just in the studio, but in real life. Seeing people resonate with my music, watching them turn up to my tracks, and knowing I’ve helped someone through a tough time just by being me? That’s everything.
I’m also proud of how far I’ve come. Balancing music, outreach work, family, and everything in between isn’t easy, but I do it because I love it. And that love is what fuels everything I put out.
What I Want People to Know
If you rock with Chief Griffey, you’re rocking with something real. The music, the energy, the movement—it’s all genuine. Whether you’re here for the vibes, the message, or just to turn up, I appreciate you.
The journey is just getting started, and I’m bringing everybody with me. So tap in, turn the volume up, and catch this vibe.
