Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to CHIA LING YANG. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
CHIA LING, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
One of the most meaningful and exhilarating projects I’ve had the pleasure of working on was a fashion film for Fendi, which proved to be one of the biggest campaigns of my career. As the creative lead, I was entrusted with overseeing all aspects of the design and animation process, from the initial brainstorming sessions to the final execution.
The project centered around crafting a visually stunning video that would push the boundaries of creativity and captivate the audience with its uniqueness. To achieve this, me and the team employed a diverse range of media and animation techniques, allowing us to blend the world of fashion with art and technology seamlessly.
The process was a labor of love, as we meticulously brought the ideas to life using cutting-edge techniques and meticulous attention to detail. From live action to motion graphics and visual effects, we ensured each frame of the video was a work of art in itself.
Witnessing the final video come to life was a moment of immense pride and satisfaction. The positive feedback and reception it received from both client and the audience made all the hard work and late nights worth it. Knowing that our work contributed to such a significant and successful campaign for a prestigious brand like Fendi has been truly fulfilling, and it has left an indelible mark on my journey as a creative professional.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a motion graphics artist and multimedia designer specializing in digital design, branding and advertisements for social media platforms. My passion lies in capturing the aesthetic and functional essence of a concept and translating it into creative, compelling visual storytelling. I have been really interested in Art since I was a kid. Therefore, I went to the art school and studied Commercial Design in college. Four years of training has helped me build a really solid foundation and knowledge of art and design which really impacted me being a motion graphics designer as my career today. My graphic design background gave me an advantage of being able to bring creative and aesthetics skills into storytelling and make the animation more vivid and easier to communicate with people. My work is a reflection of the moments that I have experienced throughout my life, resulting in a style that is truly one-of-a-kind.
Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
NFTs are new forms of digital art that open up new opportunities for artists to monetize their digital creations directly, without the need for intermediaries like galleries or art dealers. This can empower artists to have more control over their work and potentially earn more from their art.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Ultimately, my artistic journey is a continuous quest for self-discovery, creative exploration, and meaningful connections. By breaking boundaries and increasing visibility, I aspire to leave a lasting impression on the world, contributing to the enrichment of culture and inspiring others to embrace their own creative potential.
