Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cheyenne Ingram . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Cheyenne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
When it comes to social media platforms, I manage them all on my own. It can get overwhelming between responding to clients, promotion, sales and marketing. However, I am the heart of my business so I love all the work I put in.
Cheyenne , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I began my journey into the nail industry in 2019. I was a senior in high school looking for a profitable hobby that would fulfill my artistic drive. I started practicing on my family and friends, and now I have monthly clients who I love and adore. Becoming successful in the beauty industry is hard work. Not only are you trying to build a brand by yourself, but your also competing with thousands of people doing the same. It takes a huge amount of drive and discipline to be able to stay consistent and build a clientele from nothing. Through providing Acrylic Nail and Toe Services, I am helping to create a safe space for women to treat themselves and do something to boost their self confidence.I want all my clients to feel as if they can come get serviced in pajamas, while having a bad day and know that they will walk out with beautiful nails and someone who will listen to their request!
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for building clientele, would honestly be providing good work. As a business owner, it is easy to go overboard trying to focus on the glitz and glam of running a business. However, if you provide high quality, long lasting services and simultaneously provide professional
yet personable customer service, your clients will keep coming back! You start to build a bond with your clients, and you find yourself looking forward to seeing and catching up with them again.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a nail artist, is the relationships we build. I am seeing my clients every two weeks for hours at a time. My clients talk to me about their love lives, their jobs, their financial situation, and it feels so comforting to know they trust me enough to be open with me. Not only do I get to build deep bonds, but my work also gets to be apart of peoples most important life events. I’ve provided services for weddings, proposals, and proms.
