We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cheyenne Cooper a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Cheyenne, appreciate you joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
I came up with ATL Big Kids 4 years ago when I realized at the time that adults didn’t have much of their own . Most things (then and now) are catered to kids and if not catered we have to share any and almost everything. I thought the name fit my business because alcohol is only for adults and also because I wanted adults to remember that we’re still kids at heart and can still have fun , despite us having responsibilities now.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Cheyenne but everyone calls me ‘Chey’ I was born and raised in Atlanta. I started bartending about 5-6 years ago and fell in love with mixing cocktails and also the feedback from the drinks I made for customers. They always said they could feel the alcohol but couldn’t taste it . I realized after a few years that I wanted to mix cocktails for people but without a “strict pour” and also with my own creative twist on flavors; for example I feel putting extra love (alcohol) is what makes a cocktail even more tasty lol , so I started ATL Big Kids. ATL Big Kids is all about catering to your inner child while still making you feel good with our tasty cocktails and alcohol infused treats! I also believe in reasonable pricing . We’re all holding onto life by a thread, so why not make some things worth while ya know? I’m proud of myself for not giving up and staying persistent in this journey of being an entrepreneur. It’s not the easiest job but it’s fun and it’s honestly just beginning for me! I want my potential followers or clients to know that I’m excited to meet you and I thank you for supporting my small business .

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
What I think helped me build my reputation in my market is consistency, creativity ,and hard work.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Ive been able to find new clients from social media platforms.
