We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cheyanne Glazier Chloe Cosette. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cheyanne Glazier below.
Cheyanne and Chloe, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Back in February of 2022, we had the idea of starting C&C Productions. We were both still in college and were looking into the future. What was next for us? We wanted to be able to work in film and video production and not have to stumble once we were out of school, so C&C Productions was born. It was taking a huge risk for many reasons. It is not cheap to start a business, and it also isn’t easy.
With media work, a lot of your business comes from word of mouth. Some months we are swamped with work, and other months are much slower. Luckily, we have been blessed with a lot of work recently, but that is another risk you have while owning your own business. It can be inconsistent and sometimes more difficult than you could have imagined, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We also just recently took a big risk and made a short film, called Crimson. It is currently in post production, but set to be done in May. This took a big leap of faith as it is an incredibly personal story, and we had to find funding for it on our own. Crimson is exploring the idea of your oldest self coming back to save you from one of the most crucial “mistakes” of your life, and if they fail, they risk the one person they love the most.
While risks can be scary and making the leap of faith can be hard, it can be the most rewarding thing when you push through the hard days and never give up, especially when you finally make it to where you worked so hard to be.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
C&C Productions is a multi-media company specializing in film, photography and graphic design. We do anything from short films to corporate videos to weddings. We also have an online video editing course that we created to help the next generation of filmmakers.
Thus far, we have had the opportunity to work with many clients on commercials, music videos, and narrative films. During college, we had gotten 30 nominations combined, with 5 of those being for the Rocky Mountain Student Emmy’s (Yep, THOSE Emmy’s!)
One of our client videos “What Would You Do”, which was a music video we did with JustTommy, a music artist located in Phoenix AZ, won a student Emmy for Best Music Video. We are incredibly proud of everything we have done thus far and can’t wait to share what we have been up to recently!
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Our goal is to help other businesses tell their story. We love when we get to meet with our clients for the first time, hear their story, and learn how to best present them. We love to help present their stories in a video and make a personal connection with them.
This world could use lots of honesty and love currently, so another goal of ours is to spread those things through the stories we tell and through our business as a whole.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
We met in college while we were both getting our degrees in Film Production. We had worked on several projects with each other and realized that we worked extremely well with each other. We were finishing up our senior film when we started to look at the future and thought about starting a business together. We realized that we both had different strengths and weaknesses, which would help while running a business. Not only would we be able to take on more, but we both would be able to look at each project with a different lens and collaborate.
One of the nice things with each of us is that each shoot has a different “director”. Sometimes Chloe will step up and do it depending on the days/client, and sometimes Cheyanne will do it. It creates a really smooth dynamic and makes things MUCH easier on us in the long run.
