We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cherrelle Jackson Thelivelyceo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Cherrelle Jackson thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
Hello, in this relatable topic I would like to share my story and experiences as a full time creator.
I started my entrepreneurship journey in 2016. My goal was to become a full time business owner and influencer. I started crafting handmade clothing and accessories for kids, women and children. I quit my job at Walmart to pursue my own vision in 2016.
Over the years, I started to express interest in different things. IE: lashes, modeling, public speaking, hosting, hair, makeup, fashion and content directing. It became a full time job for me as I started to lose interest in working for an employer after the lost of my grandmother in 2019.
Fast forward to 2022-2023 business slowed down and I started to feel like a 9-5 job wouldn’t be a bad idea. My finances started to take a toll on me as I have now made the decision to go back to work. Although, I’ve had my share of what it’s like to be a full time creator, it just doesn’t pay the bills if you’re not consistent enough.
So here I am, March of 2023 making the decision to get a regular job that would help fund my dreams and goals. Even if that means temporarily. I am looking forward to networking, meeting new people, seeing friendly faces, and expanding within my work life, home and business!
Best regards,
Cherrelle
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Nice to meet you, My name is Cherrelle also known as “The Lively Ceo.” I am a fashion stylist and model, content creator, and social media influencer.
I began my entrepreneurship in 2016. Where I handmade crafts, clothing, accessories and shipped orders across the U.S.
I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. My daughter who’s now 7 years old became my motivation to becoming a boss mom.
Nevertheless, I was brought up in poverty. No rich parents, no handouts, no favors, no excuses. Straight HUSTLE. I was born with a winner ambition that refuses to settle for an average life. “I am not after the money. I am after the freedom that comes with having money” and so should you..
I have hosted fashion shows, pop up shops and featured in different photoshoots, fashion shows and appeared as a guest speaker for public events.
In February of 2023, I launched my online website for digital ebooks, study guides and online business coaching for new and existing entrepreneurs who are inspired to become a full time entrepreneur and/or creator like myself.

I am a firm believer what you think, you become. What you feel you attract. What you imagine you create. A lot of entrepreneurs struggle with getting their business organized, knowing what steps to take next and how to market their business.
I can list a bunch of reasons why you might be discouraged but my goal is to help you figure out what to do next and how to successfully accomplish your business goals with ease.
With Love,
Cherrelle
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I started my business profile with 0 followers and built it up from public shares, recommendations, free giveaways and word of mouth.
Overtime my pages grew and surprisingly I gained my followers on my business profile then my personal account.
The goal for me was to be authentic, original and inspire people to be different and express my passion through my products.
Most people had never seen a lot of the items I was creating and publishing so I was able to create a target audience and gain sales from what they wanted to see and purchase more of.
My advice would be, go for what you know. Be original always and learn from your mistakes as you GROW your target audience!
Don’t allow your “followers” to determine your level of success, value or social media presence.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is having public recognition and seeing how my influence changes other people lives.
It’s one thing to be “popular” but having a level of respect, genuine support, and motivation from people that are rooting for you feels good.
As a creator/influencer I see how I impact many people who inspire to follow my path or be greater than me and that is all the motivation I need.
