Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chereé Robinson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Chereé thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I had a vision of what i wanted my life to look like after going through different life lessons(blessings) at a very young age. My idea for my business is to creative a scared space to break generational excuses and beat the odds. Show young girls/woman/young men/men to be the love that you seek (And the rest will follow). LTSGR YOGA MINDFULNESS w/Reé (Let That Shit Go RESPECTFULLY) yoga meditation healing, along with positive affirmation and poetry, I came up with my business name because when we get hurt and never try to heal ourselves, we get stuck in that time frame of hurt. You will never heal..(the old baggage is shh ** respectfully) you have to do the self-work in order to move forward. Healing is a consistent journey. I learn something knew about myself every day and I must say. I love the woman I have become and STILL becoming…! 🥰 In my heart I know I will forever be that little girl that has big dreams…. tinker bell). The passion I have for my practice real and authentic. Everything I speak on I have been through and looked at every experience on how I can speak light into the individual’s that have ever felt any of my experiences. How to grow from it all be to always remain humble, and to never give up on you!!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Chereé from Salisbury, MD (DMV) Easternshore ! I became very interested in having my own at a very young age by watching my mother go back to school to earn her Masters Degree. LTSGR YOGA MINDFULNESS was birth out of COVID while learning how to center my mind, the only thing that I did have control of!! My anxiety was very intense of fearing the unknown of what COVID was and what it was going to do. Many days and night I would self-practice (I had no clue what I was doing but I knew I wanted my life back.), I journaled, listened to music that made my heart feel at peace, started eating high vibrational foods so my body could self-heal. I started to see life in a way that I never really thought to. I was suffering from depression really bad, and I never experienced it before! I knew I didn’t like how I felt so I had to make a change. So, once I started doing the work to becoming a better me… I took it upon myself to see further knowledge in the yoga world, along with being an instructor. My experiences not only did learn how to truly love myself unconditionally, I met some amazing, beautiful souls. This is the reason why I do what I do, and to do so is to make a difference in the world. My heart is happy.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I was a teenmom, I had my daughter at the age of 16. From that day forward I knew that I had to set the tune for her. She now is 16 today, a young entrepreneur and business owner of her own LLC since the age of 12. When her schoolteacher asked her who her best friend was, and she told me…I knew I was doing something right! It’s those moments for me that lets me know I am a ‘SHERO”.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience on social media by just being myself! Getting up and just doing the things I normally do without posting myself. I would post as if no one was watching. Just being myself, until one day I was in the grocery store, and someone said to me..”please don’t stop posting your videos! I look forward to them every morning/day”, I was in shock…! So from that point on I said to myself I will continue to be me even when I struggle to see me! I owe it to myself! So, post and do what makes you happy.
