Alright, Cher-Ron thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
Here’s a refined response:

The Black Wall Street Nation is completely outside the lines of the “industry standard”—we are a blueprint that can’t be duplicated. Our mission is to elevate business owners beyond traditional limitations by aligning with their unique learning curves, skills, and growth potential. Unlike conventional business networks that impose rigid structures, we provide a fluid and adaptive ecosystem where entrepreneurs can scale without constraints.
In a world where many industries force businesses to conform, we focus on empowerment, collaboration, and ownership. We bridge the gaps in our community by fostering an environment where Black-owned brands can thrive without being boxed into outdated models. One of our standout moments was when we successfully helped a small business transition from struggling in a saturated market to becoming a global supplier through our network—proof that when the right resources and community come together, success has no limits.
At Black Wall Street Nation, we don’t follow industry standards—we create them.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
About Cher-Ron Thicklin & The Black Wall Street Nation
I’m Cher-Ron Thicklin, Founder and CEO of The Black Wall Street Nation, a groundbreaking platform dedicated to empowering Black entrepreneurs, creatives, and business owners worldwide. My journey in media, business development, and entrepreneurship began over a decade ago, driven by my passion for storytelling, brand-building, and creating sustainable opportunities for Black-owned businesses. As a startup myself, I recognized a gap—there wasn’t a dedicated platform designed to support our community from launch to long-term success. Many existing businesses also needed affordable rebranding solutions to stay competitive. That’s why I created The Black Wall Street Nation—to provide the resources, guidance, and visibility our businesses need to thrive.
With a background in television, radio, and digital media, I’ve spent years producing, developing, and distributing content across multiple platforms, helping brands maximize their visibility and reach. As a media personality, business strategist, and serial entrepreneur, I’ve built a network that serves as a launchpad for small businesses, providing resources, mentorship, and visibility that they might not receive elsewhere.
At Black Wall Street Nation, we do more than just promote Black-owned businesses—we create ecosystems where they can thrive. Our platform operates 24/7/365, similar to major home shopping networks, but with a dedicated focus on showcasing and circulating Black wealth. Through our digital marketplace, media partnerships, and business development initiatives, we give entrepreneurs the exposure and tools they need to scale their businesses to new heights.
What Sets Us Apart?
Unlike traditional business networks that focus on rigid corporate structures, The Black Wall Street Nation is an innovative, ever-evolving blueprint for Black success. We are rewriting the narrative of Black entrepreneurship by providing hands-on support, visibility, and financial literacy tools that allow businesses to scale without limitations.
One of the things I’m most proud of is seeing business owners who started with limited resources go from struggling to thriving through our network. Whether it’s helping a fashion designer get their collection into major retail spaces, assisting a small business in securing national distribution, or giving a local entrepreneur the media exposure they need to increase sales, our impact is tangible.
What Do I Want People to Know?
Black Wall Street Nation is more than just a brand—it’s a movement. It’s about reclaiming economic power, breaking down barriers, and fostering generational wealth within our communities. My mission is to ensure that every Black entrepreneur who connects with us has access to the knowledge, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.
For anyone looking to build, grow, or scale their business while being part of a strong, supportive network, The Black Wall Street Nation is the place to be. We don’t just follow industry trends—we set them.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Building The Black Wall Street Nation was never about following an easy path—it was about breaking barriers, rewriting the rules, and creating a platform that didn’t exist before. One of the most challenging moments in this journey came when I was working to launch the Black Wall Street Nation Shopping Network, a 24/7/365 home for Black-owned businesses to showcase their products and services.
Many people told me it couldn’t be done. They said I needed major corporate backing, that the infrastructure was too costly, and that Black businesses wouldn’t get the same kind of exposure as mainstream brands. But I refused to accept that narrative.
I invested my own time, resources, and expertise, pulling from my background in television and media to build the network from the ground up. I faced technical setbacks, funding challenges, and industry gatekeeping, but I never wavered. I worked around the clock to secure the right technology, create partnerships, and ensure that our network would be a powerful force in Black entrepreneurship.
Today, The Black Wall Street Nation stands as a testament to resilience, proving that we don’t need permission to succeed. We don’t have to wait for traditional networks to give us a seat at the table—we build our own tables, our own platforms, and our own legacy.
This journey has shown me that resilience isn’t just about overcoming challenges—it’s about creating opportunities where none existed before and showing our community that we have the power to control our own success.
