Black Orchids PR has a deep commitment to helping women of color get seen, heard, and increase their revenue. Despite their immense skills and unique offerings, they face countless obstacles in gaining visibility and recognition for their businesses or even in building their professional careers. The lack of resources, systemic biases, and limited access to networks hinders their growth potential and sometimes even stifles their dreams.
While Black Orchids PR is expanding its service model to serve to other markets, our unwavering commitment to helping women of color move towards the calling of self-advocacy remains at the core of our brand. We firmly believe that empowering women goes beyond providing PR and brand communications coaching. Through mentorship programs, workshops, and educational resources, we strive to equip our clients with the skills and confidence needed to navigate the business world and make a lasting impact in their respective industries. Founder Chenadra Washington’s journey towards building her brand, Black Orchids PR, is a testament to her resilience and determination. As a former global financial services manager, she experienced firsthand the frustrations of being overlooked, underpaid, and burnt out in the corporate world. Disenchanted by the limitations and unfair treatment she faced, Chenadra embarked on a personal quest for change. Despite having no prior business history or knowledge of the PR and brand communications world, she immersed herself in learning the basics of entrepreneurship. Additionally, she delved into extensive research on the challenges faced by black women in business and their careers. Armed with a newfound understanding and a fierce passion for empowering women, Chenadra embarked on her mission to establish Black Orchids PR, a brand dedicated to helping women of color gain visibility, amplify their voices, and increase their revenue. Her personal experiences and comprehensive research serve as the driving force behind the Black Orchids PR brand.
Furthermore, at Black Orchids PR, we recognize that not everyone desires to be an entrepreneur and that training and development are crucial for the success and growth of all professionals regardless of their background. As such, we have added services that support professional and leadership development. Included in our comprehensive programs, we have tailored programs that support the unique needs of women of color which offer resources that address specific challenges they may face.
