Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chelsi Jo Moore. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Chelsi Jo , thanks for joining us today. Your ability to build a team is often a key determinant of your success as a business owner and so we’d love to get a conversation going with successful entrepreneurs like yourself around what your recruiting process was like -especially early on. How did you build your team?
When I started my business, I had two major hurdles: extremely limited hours as a mom and a zero-dollar budget. The idea of hiring a team felt impossible at first. But with a lot of creative dreaming, meticulous organization, and a willingness to take chances on myself, I went from a solo entrepreneur scraping pennies for a website to leading a team of six incredible women.
I’ve always been passionate about mentoring, so I got creative. Unable to afford traditional employees in the early days, I started an internship program. It was a win-win: I poured into women in my community, teaching them how to manage a systematic home and business, while they helped with tasks like writing blog posts and moderating my online communities. That experience gave me the foundation I needed to scale sustainably—and it’s something I’ve continued every year since.
Looking back, this unconventional approach to building a team is one of the things I’m most grateful for. Yes, scaling a company and generating passive income are amazing accomplishments. But what truly fills me with pride is building a business that honors my priorities—my family, my faith, and my mission. I’ve created a way to lead, mentor, and grow a global impact without compromising the things that matter most. That’s the kind of success I hope inspires other moms to dream bigger too.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started my business during one of the most transformative and challenging seasons of my life. After years in the corporate world, I was a single mom juggling everything on my own. When I remarried and became a wife and mom of two, I went from managing a full-time job and parenting solo to navigating the complexities of a blended family—and I was completely overwhelmed.
In the chaos of it all, I stumbled upon the power of systems. They radically transformed not just how I managed my day-to-day life, but how I approached motherhood, marriage, and even my sense of self. I realized that these systems weren’t just helpful—they were life-changing. And I knew I had to share them with as many women as I could.
That’s how my journey into entrepreneurship began. Today, I lead a company dedicated to empowering moms who want to succeed both at home and in business. I offer systems and strategies that help women organize their lives, from home management to business operations, so they can create a thriving life without sacrificing their families or their dreams.
I firmly believe that women don’t have to choose between serving their families and pursuing their passions. Our talents are meant to be shared—not just to create income but to make an impact inside and outside the home. That belief drives everything I do, from the programs I create to the podcast I host, which now reaches millions of listeners around the world.
What sets my work apart is the holistic approach I take. I don’t just teach women how to manage their homes or run a business—I teach them how to build a life they love with both home and business. Whether it’s through my time-blocking methods, my step-by-step systems for scaling a business, or the community I’ve cultivated, everything I do is designed to help women thrive doing both.
What I’m most proud of is that my business reflects the values I hold closest to my heart: faith, family, and service. Through my work, I’ve been able to stay true to those values while also helping other moms realize that they don’t have to compromise on theirs. Together, we’re proving that it’s possible to lead a life of purpose, productivity, and passion—all while keeping our priorities in order.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Don’t give up. If you’re a mom reading this, I want you to know that your dreams, your home, your marriage, your kids, and you—are worth fighting for. From the outside, a thriving multi-six-figure business and a vibrant family might look like the ultimate dream. But the truth? There have been countless nights where I’ve been humbled to my core by the weight of it all.
Juggling everyone’s schedules, battling the guilt of not being enough in all the roles I carry, and staring down an endless pile of laundry can feel impossible at times. I’ve faced moments where the pressure has brought me to my knees. But it’s in those moments—those lowest lows—that I remind myself why I started.
I know, deep in my bones, that I was created for a mission greater than myself. And I believe with all my heart that you are too. Resilience doesn’t mean having it all together—it means showing up, again and again, even when it’s hard. The highs and lows are part of the journey, but so is the purpose that keeps pulling us forward.
So wherever you are today, don’t give up. There’s something beautiful waiting on the other side of this moment. You’re stronger than you think and systems will take you further than you can go on your own.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
The best book I ever read was Profit First by Mike Michalowitz
