We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chelsea Vacca. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chelsea below.
Alright, Chelsea thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
One of the best things my parents did was expose us to the world through travel from a young age. They believed in the value of seeing new places, experiencing different cultures, and stepping outside our comfort zones. Whether it was a road trip across the country or a flight overseas, those experiences shaped my perspective in a big way.
Traveling early on taught me adaptability, curiosity, and how to connect with people from all walks of life. It made me more open-minded and helped me understand that there isn’t just one “right” way to live. I carry that mindset with me in both life and business—being able to pivot, stay grounded, and stay open to learning has been everything. Those trips weren’t just vacations—they were lessons that continue to guide me today.
Chelsea, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a nurse practitioner and the founder of Chelsea Vacca Medical Aesthetics (CVMA), a boutique medspa where we take a personalized, honest approach to beauty and wellness. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a plastic surgeon—I was fascinated by the idea of combining medicine with artistry to help people feel confident in their own skin. My early career took me through the emergency department, where I gained valuable experience in high-pressure clinical settings, and later, I had the opportunity to work alongside a plastic surgeon. Those experiences shaped my clinical foundation, refined my aesthetic eye, and ultimately inspired me to create a practice that blends medical expertise with an elevated, client-centered experience.
At my practice, we offer a range of services including neuromodulators (like Botox and Dysport), dermal fillers, collagen stimulators like Sculptra, skin resurfacing with the CO2 laser, and tattoo removal. Every treatment is customized with a focus on treating the whole patient—taking into account their unique goals, lifestyle, and budget. I believe in working together with each client to create a plan that’s not only effective but also sustainable. What truly sets us apart is our commitment to integrity. If a treatment isn’t appropriate or won’t deliver the desired outcome, I’ll be the first to say so.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built for being results-driven, detail-oriented, and deeply personal. Clients often tell us they feel seen, heard, and never rushed—and that’s intentional. I want every person who walks through our doors to feel valued and confident, not only in the care they receive, but in themselves.
Beyond the treatment room, I am launching CVMA Courses—an educational platform created specifically for nurses, NPs, PAs, DOs and MDs who are new to aesthetics. I saw a need for real-world, clinically sound training that goes beyond textbook theory. This project has allowed me to mentor the next generation of aesthetic injectors with the same values I bring to my practice: safety, honesty, and excellence.
If there’s one thing I want potential clients or fellow professionals to know, it’s that my work—whether in treatment or education—is rooted in experience, transparency, and a genuine passion for aesthetic medicine.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One chapter that really shaped my resilience was during nursing school, when I didn’t have a car and rode my bike to and from my serving job. It wasn’t always easy—especially after a long shift or on days when the weather made everything feel harder—but I was determined to keep going. I knew it was a temporary season and that every step, no matter how small, was getting me closer to my goal. That experience taught me perseverance, humility, and the value of showing up even when it’s tough. It’s a reminder I still carry with me—especially in the harder moments of entrepreneurship—knowing that grit and consistency matter just as much as talent or timing.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what’s helped me build a strong reputation in this industry is staying true to who I am—honest, down to earth, and approachable. People want to feel comfortable and understood, especially when it comes to something as personal as aesthetic treatments. I never want clients to feel intimidated or pressured. Instead, I focus on education, transparency, and really listening. Whether someone’s brand new to aesthetics or a longtime client, I treat every conversation with care and respect. That consistency and sincerity have helped me build trust, which I believe is the foundation of a lasting reputation.
