Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chelsea McGraw. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chelsea, appreciate you joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
I came up with a list of several names for our store but one name in particular stood out. We had previoulsy been operating under the name “Chelsea Morgan Designs” which is my first and middle name. I felt it was important, if I wanted to scale my business and hire more designers, that it should not be named after me. You will find that many interior designers do name their business after themselves but I wanted to take a different approach!
At first our store was a different entity from our design business but in 2024 we successfully merged the two into one, “Fount House Interiors & Collection.” The name comes from my favorite Hymn, “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.” My faith is very important to me and I want that to be at the forefront of everything we do. The Hymn speaks of God’s grace and never ending love for us, which is a message we are proud to share!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
At Fount House Interiors & Collection we offer Full-Scale design services from one room transformations to new build and remodel design. Our showroom is a collection of found antiques merged with new pieces from our favorite vendors. We also have a wide selection of wallpapers and fabrics, and our custom upholstery line continues to be very popular with our clients.
We are intentional in our desire to bring both beautiful design and functionality to each space, ensuring that every choice fits seamlessly with a clients lifestyle.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth! Fort Worth is a large city with a small town feel, and you can almost always find a mutual connection with someone you meet. It is a great city for networking and our well connected clients, colleagues, and friends, are always so kind to recommend us when an opportunity presents itself!
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I am really proud of the way we handle unexpected issues that arise in our projects. Unfortunately in our business there are many things that can go wrong; furniture arrives damaged, contractor mistakes, a vendor sends the wrong item, lead times get extended, etc. The client is our first priority and we do everything we can to make sure they are taken care of!
