We were lucky to catch up with Chelsea Evans recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Chelsea thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
The sort of legacy that I am hoping to build is one that I pray inspires others to go beyond what those may deem as impossible.
My hope is that I am remembered as someone that not only encouraged and motivated others but, also showed resilience in the midst of many trials and tribulations. When my journey is complete I think people will say that “She did it” or “Job well done”!
People will be able to say that I never gave up, everything that I set my heart out to do I accomplished it. I hope to be remembered by my smile, my laughter, my personality, and the motivational words that I’ve poured out into this world. I hope to be remembered as someone that didn’t take no for an answer and, that she always found a solution.
Someone who stood up against those who felt as if they could walk all over not only myself but, others as well. Someone who truly became the voice for anyone who didn’t feel heard, seen, or noticed. That is what I hope my legacy is remembered as.
Chelsea, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those of you that have not read about me before, allow for me to introduce to you a woman who is truly an example of “The rise of the phoenix”. A woman that has not only grown through out this time but, continues to grow day in and day out. My name is Chelsea Evans, I am an Entrepreneur, upcoming Content creator / Influencer, Public Notary, and most importantly “Thee Corporate Baddie”.
I create content that revolves around my every day life working as an administrative specialist. I give my supporters also known as my “Besties” an inside look as to what a smooth or chaotic day can be in a corporate setting while also remaining relatable. No matter the state where my supporters live, my content has allowed for me to connect with other individuals on how they can also enter into the corporate world. I’ve provided information on jobs, overviewed applications, connections to resume builders, etc. This not only allows for me to help others but, pushes me to continue to show a different side of myself to my audience.
I also provide Notary services as a Florida Notary Public. This side of my business is beneficial for those who want to know how to become a Notary, provide course information, meet with my clients that are unable to go inside of a bank or ultimately are unaware on where to get certain legal documents signed. I make this task easy by providing mobile services at a reasonable rate. Providing this service not only takes the weight or stress off of my client’s shoulders but, allows for me to provide them with an excellent client experience.
I am most proud of my overall endurance to get the job done. Those who know me would say that I am an over-achiever. I push myself beyond the limit to accomplish any goal that I have in mind and, I push those around me to accomplish any goal they have set in their heart to do. I want my viewers / supporters to know that I am your best friend near or far. Am I perfect? No but, I am a witness to what can happen if you put your trust / faith in not only yourself but, in God to do the unthinkable.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I have many stories that have caused me to have a change of direction in my life. One in particular would be in March of 2023, when I made a vow to myself that I would never hit rock bottom again. There were many dark moments in my life where I genuinely wasn’t myself.
I disconnected from those who truly cared about me, and at one point felt as if I no longer knew my purpose.
I decided to move back home with no job at the time, no plan, or any sense of urgency to figure out what I was going to do next. What I did know for certain was that I wasn’t going back into the space that I just left. For 5 months I sat back, rebuilt myself little by little, and finally came to the conclusion on what I wanted to do.
I started looking for a job and thankfully in September at the 6 month mark I received an interview for a position that lead me into my current career field. I also got back in school to earn my degree in Sociology, I started a new business by the name of Leading Edge Notary Service, and lastly I started taking my content seriously by becoming more consistent in my postings. I say all of this to say that sometimes what we want in life isn’t exactly what we need. Where you start if you truly believe in yourself will not be where you finish.
In conclusion, always remember that What God is doing for you, will always be perfectly crafted for you! There isn’t anything anybody could ever do to stop you. I live by Jeremiah 29;11 because, I truly believe God’s plan for my life is greater than my own.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I believe the biggest lesson I’ve had to learn thus far in my life is that “If you can’t control it, don’t stress over it.”
As simple as that may sound, it has been one of the many driving forces in my life to remind me that my energy does not need to be consumed by things or situations that I absolutely have no control over.
This comes from experiencing the removal of friendships / relationships , denial from jobs, high expectancy of others, etc. I’ve learned that the more I pour into situations that aren’t pouring back into me, it no longer aligns with what God wants for me. I no longer look at outcomes as a “Lost” because, there is always something better in store in the long run.
This journey is not a race but, a marathon and it’s created for you to experience lessons, disappointments, heartbreaks, victories, and realizations that there is a bigger picture.
