We were lucky to catch up with Chelsea Airola recently and have shared our conversation below.

Chelsea, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

I was working in a corporate marketing job and was so unhappy. I felt like there had to be more than just working for someone else your entire life. I finally discovered that people were starting their own side hustles doing social media – which was what I was already doing. I thought that I could serve more people, make more impact, and work with people who I wanted to work with if I went off on my own.

That was the start of my business. My mission has always been empowering business owners to show up in their businesses and create income for themselves, while helping people. I thought it was so powerful that I could help amplify their voices online to help others (and help them quit their jobs if that’s what they wanted). That is so much more meaningful to me than just working a 9-5 all your life.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I’m a marketing strategist, mentor and social media expert. Throughout the past 8 years, I’ve worked in marketing in some capacity. First, managing marketing & content departments on the brand side, running social media accounts, planning events, creating content, and everything in between. For the past two years, I’ve owned my own business, working with some of your favorite influencers and other business owners, skyrocketing their marketing strategies and social media presences.

Today, I take all my knowledge from my marketing experience and give it to my clients. I help business owners build thriving marketing and content strategies to help them scale, grow and make consistent income – sustainably. My clients and I work on strategies that are both simple to implement but SUPER effective. My clients come to me struggling with low confidence showing up online, with not able to reach the right people they want to serve, and with their content – not knowing what they’re doing wrong.

I’m most proud of how I get to serve my clients. And the type of client that I attract – they are such amazing people with such special missions. I’m so proud that I get to help them, help more people through their coaching and services. From the strategies that I’ve assisted them with, they’ve been able to quit their 9-5 jobs, travel more and live the life they’ve always wanted.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Instagram, hands down. I treat my Instagram like my resume – I focus on how it looks to a new person coming into my audience. What would they see? Is my mission and what I do clear to them? What content would be available to them right now? I have booked 90% of my clients through Instagram and selling through my IG Stories. This is because I’ve implemented a bulletproof content strategy that attracts new people, nurtures them, and then eventually sells to them.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I was going through a phase in my business where I was very plateaued with my growth. In both sales & social media. I was struggling with getting to the next income level in my business and didn’t know what was missing. I finally realized two things: I needed to expand my niche and who I served. I had become known as one of the marketing leaders in the health/wellness space and felt capped with my growth. I realized that I could expand to other business owners because they could also benefit from my programs and framework. That stagnation was a sign that I needed to change something. The second thing I realized was that I wasn’t showing up as the business owner who reached that next income level. I had to start becoming that person in order to grow more in my business. This kickstarted a change in myself and how I showed up – I started acting like I was already at that next phase. I worked on my mindset every day. Then, things started moving so much more quickly and that next income level didn’t feel so unattainable anymore.
