We were lucky to catch up with Chele Roland recently and have shared our conversation below.
Chele, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I truly believe that “necessity is the mother of invention,” so I would not say that I ‘came up’ with the idea, but rather that I had a powerful intention to heal my body and reinvent my life, and therefore, the Universe led me to what I didn’t even realize that I desired and needed at the time. So it became a co-creation that drove me to figure out how to accomplish the task at hand–Which was to strategize how to market an unfamiliar topical product, which is a molecule named Glutathione, that most humans are lacking in, but yet we need it to live healthy, full lives. There are other forms of Glutathione out there, but Glutathione is such a large unstable molecule, and isn’t digestible orally, so oral supplements are not Bioavailable (effective). But once I learned and experienced what Dr. Nayan Patel and Dr. Chinh Tran had created with their topical, absorbable (through the skin) Glutathione, I knew I had to jump off this cliff and grow my wings on the way down. It was thrilling AND terrifying–but the first emotion I experienced was anger–“anger” because the Glutathione was changing my life and health so rapidly and drastically, that I could not believe that the public, or even the medical community, wasn’t more aware of this powerful Master Antioxidant, which functions as an unstoppable warrior molecule inside our bodies, killing off all the bad guys (toxins)! It was all this emotion and passion that made it 100% obvious that I was being called to this mission of helping to bring Glutathione to mainstream society, so people could experience its lifechanging benefits, just like I had!

Chele, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
One thing I am most proud of in my character is that I NEVER give up! And I am very driven and passionate (and sometimes obsessed) about what I believe in. And one of these passions is being an advocate of my own health, and making sure that I am in charge of my own body, which led to me starting a wellness company. So if I have any advice at all for entrepreneurs…it’s that if something calls you this passionately…answer the call–it means you’ll be able to figure it out as you go, as long as you stay in the ring. For me, ‘staying in the ring’ meant to continue trying different marketing approaches for our topical glutathione until I found one that was sustainable and effective. And trust me, we tried MANY avenues and had endless meetings with potential partners for years. Which led us to now being on the verge of launching our bWell Network Glutathione products exclusively on HSN (Home Shopping Network). It’s all about the timing, and had I given up, I wouldn’t be sitting where I am now.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Well, my story of resilience entails one of the most bizarre aspects of my journey. At age 40 I found myself starting over from ground zero, with zero career in sight, zer0 money, and zero confidence, while also battling through a contentious divorce, with three young children. You see, I had just escaped from a cult, which I was lost inside of for 17 years. And due to this lifestyle, I was also very sick, and left with only the clothes on my back, and my children of course. Which led to crippling anxiety and PTSD, as I stared down the daunting and terrifying task of starting my life over and building some sort of career to support myself and my children. So it was during this process that I met a man to discuss marketing a wellness facial product that he had created, and was given to me by a friend. I was so blown away by this product that I insisted on meeting the creator of the product. This man was named Dr. Nayan Patel of Auro Pharmaceuicals in Orange County. I had no idea that this chance meeting would drastically impact my overall health, but would also alter the course of my life. It was this day that Dr. Patel brought out an amber, unmarked glass bottle, and slid it across the table, and announced that this miracle product was called Glutathione! I had never heard of glutathione, and could not even pronounce it at first! But what started happening to my body and my skin, and how it reduced my anxiety, was remarkable and unheard of. I truly feel that this was a divine meeting that saved my life in more ways than one.

Have you ever had to pivot?
After attempting to reboot a career in the entertainment industry, at age 40, which is what I went to school for, I realized that it would be wise to have a side hustle, as I figured out my new life as a single mom. Although I won a few contests in Hollywood for TV concepts and sizzle reels that I’d created, I quickly learned that it was not going to happen overnight or generate revenue quickly. So I decided to pivot, and spent most of my time focusing on how to convince Dr. Nayan Patel to let me market his miraculous transdermal (topical) glutathione for him. I had no experience marketing, and I am pretty sure that Nayan and his two brothers thought I was nuts, but were so entertained by my persistent efforts, that they would always hear me out. I even earned the name “Yoga Pants,” as some of his staff would announce me like this: “Yoga Pants is here again” when I arrived, because I would show up right after yoga. I’d like to think that what I lacked in experience, I made up for in passion and drive. Nayan and his brothers became like family to me, and I even got to meet their amazing father, when he flew in from India. I definitely subscribe to the belief that you can jump off the cliff and grow your wings on the way down. And how this cliff jump has now manifested is rather surreal–Everything from flying over to Florida to meet Tony Robbins and Stephanie Hunter (Hunter Method) in Tony’s beautiful home (who was so gracious and is a big supporter of Nayan’s glutathione), to helping with Nayan’s published book called THE GLUTATHIONE REVOLUTION (on Amazon)–To now here we are on the cusp of partnering with HSN (Home Shopping Network) to provide the topical glutathione to America during live televised segments. And the added bonus is that now I am also involved in film projects and documentaries, which means I get to do the two things that I love the most–help people have access to life=changing wellness products, and use film and media to reach the world with stories that really matter!
