We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chelby Rogers. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chelby below.
Chelby, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Chelby Rogers Interior Designs began in April 2022. Founder Chelby Rogers discovered her creative passion to design, and stage homes from watching her parents remodel homes as a adolescent. As she progressed in life while attaining her Social Work degree from Kennesaw State University not only did her understanding of helping others become her purpose but also her avenue to be creative in service to others. She decided to take her calling and eclectic taste to another level by doing what she truly loves. God has gifted her to give clients a glimpse of Heavens Glory ( Psalms 19:1) in designing purposeful spaces while encouraging others to be the designer of their own destiny.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
This is a feeling I know oh too well. It’s the story of every millennial mom, dad, career driven individual. From college, to getting married, having children and trying to develope a successful career and way of living can be hard to achieve at times. Early in my marriage, we struggled with balancing roles, responsibilities, and providing for our small children. There came a time when we had to decide the care for our children would be best with me as a stay home mom. We agreed it was best but there was no discussion of a plan for me ever to return to my career. Overtime I felt myself becoming bitter and depressed thinking I was less of a woman to be home all day with nothing to show for myself. The truth was that my husband and I, both had the wrong perspective of marriage and not enough communication to resolve our issues. HERE COMES THE PIVOT! We hit rock bottom and went financially bankrupt. Losing all that we had coveted. Soon our focus was back to what was important, Us and our then 3 infant boys. We had grown up with our Faith rooted in God, yet in the midst of doing life our way, we had left God out of it. The hardships of life pivoted me back to my faith being rooted in God. I had to pivot to trusting His provisions, trusting He would bless my submission to my husband, trusting He would bless me for nurturing the wellbeing of my children. AND GOD DID ! Within 5 years we weee bankrupt, in these latter 5 years we’ve prospered so much to have gained all we lost and more. After that bankruptcy we started a faith based business, wrote and published a book together, recorded my first song, started my interior design business, and now we’ve launched a church! We preach and teach the power in pivoting when facing challenge and even new ventures to the betterment of your future. Don’t fear the pivot because it might just be the answer to your prayers
How did you build your audience on social media?
My advice to all creatives is to not strive for perfection. Strive for excellence in consistency. I too have been a procrastinator at times by allowing the daunting thoughts of needing every detail before I made a post or launched any ideas and that mentality delayed my reach. One post a day on all platforms will keep you ahead of the game. Don’t compare yourself to anyone, be in competition with yourself to learn everything you need to be the best at what you do. I built my following by being real and authentic about my journey and showing off my “creative eye” to attract people to my business. People love what I offer because I’m “HOT,” honest, open, and transparent about my mistakes, what I have learned, and my successes. People glean from me because I’m a “BAD” girl that is beautiful, anoited, and determined to follow Gods plan to having a blessed life.
