Chef Tharren, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
Becoming a business owner and entrepreneur has not always been the easiest decision but it is the best decision I have ever made. Many people assume when you venture out on your own, things become easier and work hours decrease, but I can assure you it doesn’t. You trade in your 9-5 shift for a 24 hour shift, not because you are forced to work more , but because you are determined to bring a dream to life that only you can currently see or visualize.
I spent almost 10 years of my career helping build other companies and businesses. It was my goal to be the best employee I could possibly be by maintaining all price line margins, training staff, working long hours and whatever else was required of me. One day I realized that I was giving 100 percent of my efforts to bring someone else’s dream to life. If I could do it for them, why couldn’t I do it for myself?
I began my business in 2017 offering upscale intimate dinner parties. I soon began to build traction and awareness by providing amazing dining experiences accompanied by my energetic charisma and positive attitude. I soon branched out into large scale buffet catering which opened the door into formal wedding receptions, universities, and so much more.
I am now a successful entrepreneur, operating a 6 figure private chef/catering service. I have serviced a growing list of celebrities, billion dollar corporations such as Home Depot and xfinity Comcast, and appeared on Local News twice. There have been numerous trials and tribulations, but determination and consistency have always won the battle. If you can weather the storm, I promise the rewards will be worth it.

I am a highly skilled and trained Executive Private Chef here to provide you with an amazing dining experience you will never forget. I am a southern bred chef with vast training in American, French, Creole, Moroccan, Mediterranean and Southern cuisine that will amaze and entice you from start to finish. My love and passion for cooking is derived from the happiness and joy clients receive from my meals. I have always strived to be the very best in all aspects of my life and career by becoming one of the best Chefs the Coastal South region has to offer. I have spent the past ten years of my career expanding my knowledge of world cuisines and food safety. I guarantee, a dining experience from chef T will be much more than a meal, I am here to provide nothing but the best because you absolutely deserve it.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Like others, social media has really been a powerful tool to build my brand to the stature it is currently at. Of course it started slow , with minimal likes and shares, but I stayed consistent with my marketing scheme and online presence. I began to offer transparency and let viewers see my process and my ending results. In return I gained a steadily growing fan base with a combined following of 18k across all social media platforms.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
I make it my mission to lead by example and hold my team accountable on all standards. As you begin to grow, you must realize you can not run or have your hands on every single aspect of the company, you must have qualified trustworthy individuals who can bring your vision to life .
