Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chef Ashley Dominique. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Chef Ashley Dominique, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
Becoming an entrepreneur is all about taking risks.
In January of 2019 I realized that if I quit my job that I would bring in more revenue working for myself than working a part time job and working for myself. Now mind you I’m a single mother with 3 daughters. I just knew it could work long as I didn’t give up!
I knew I would have to probably work twice as hard but it would be worth it.
I quit my job around that April. I LLC’d my business in October of that year and I’ve been excelling since.
I’ve been through it ALL since taking that leap of faith but it’s one decision I’ve NEVER regretted.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Chef Ashley Dominique, a Traveling Personal Chef and the owner of A Taste Of Chef Ash LLC. I offer my clients Inhome/Onsite gourmet experiences.
I’ve been in the industry since the age of 14. I’ll be 40 this upcoming December (if God says the same!) Ive worked everything from fast food to 5 star restaurants.
In 2020 I got the opportunity to become a Personal Chef to Professional Athletes and I’ve been on the grind EVER SINCE!
Being a Professional Chef for high profile clients does get hectic at times especially if I am working for multiple clients at a time but it’s all worth it in the end. I always say I PRAYED for times like these.
My client list has grown over the years.
-Jadeveon Clowney-NFL
-Da’ Shawn Hand -NFL
-Nickeil Alexander- Walker -NBA
-Jose Alvarado -NBA
-Mitchel Robinson-NBA
-Carl Granderson -NFL
-Albert Huggins- NFL
-Zack Harrison- NFL
-Yves Missi – NBA
-Kelvin Banks- NFL
-Rasheed Shaheed -NFL

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth has been the best source for me gaining new clientele ESPECIALLY my pro athlete clientele.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
In January 2024, I had to start the year off by laying my little brother to rest. One of the HARDEST things I had to do in my life. He passed away at the end of my 2023-2024 NFL season while I was in Atlanta with my Falcons client.
It was so hard but I made it work out. I was able to do what I needed to for my brother and my client through out the process.
In a way I feel like his spirit was with me through the process of loosing such a close sibling. Helping navigate me in a way
