Alright, CHE$$ thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump back to the first dollar you earned as a creative? What can you share with us about how it happened?
The first time I ever received physical cash for this writing and rapping was when I did a show in Abilene, TX with a group I was thoroughly a part of at the time called CUTTHROAT EMCEES’. The first time I ever made profit from streams was from my debut album ‘I Won’t Lo$e Me’, submitting via CDBaby for distribution.
I was doing it for so long hand-to-hand, selling cd’s and trying to figure it all out. The digital distribution changed the game and emphasis for me and a lot of my comrades.

I’m a follower of Christ, I do me, my strength is my flow and wordplay with southern draw and melodic undertones.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew more about investments and how finances work. I know I’m not the only one.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
There are moments you as an artist or creative manifest in to existence that inspire and change people’s lives; that is a gift not everyone has and it’s a marvelous feeling and the ultimate reward.
