Chayne, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I always felt like thinking a new thought always creates new space. When I see myself in a picture or video I ask myself “what makes a human enjoy seeing a reflection of themselves so much?” And the simple answer is “happiness”. Knowing I can contribute to individuals in my community in a positive light behind a lens creates that happiness. How I started on the journey of creating my business was doing research on DSLR cameras.With numerous brands available, finding the perfect fit was important. I meticulously sifted through articles on cameras and absorbed insights from creators on YouTube. Then, I came across my first camera discovery on OfferUp: a Lumix G7. With the camera being high priced, I engaged in a negotiation with a former producer who no longer required the camera, I ended up purchasing the camera for $100. When I received my very first client it was for a music video shoot in the city of Compton CA. This marked my debut both in video production and collaborating with an artist. As I directed different scenes in the city, I realized my passion in being able to produce long lasting memories with imagery and videos for people worldwide. I find immense satisfaction in capturing the stories and visions of entrepreneurs, creators, and visionaries through my lens. Through real-life experiences, I aim to bring forth positivity, joy, and hope to those seeking to showcase their businesses in the public eye. This is what I cherish the most. As a business owner, you’re bound to encounter adversity, which in turn fosters invaluable lessons in leadership. Both elements are vital to the journey, but it’s only by taking that initial leap of faith from your conceptual stage that you truly grasp their rarity. Embracing this uncertainty is what fuels the endless excitement of entrepreneurship.

As a child raised in San Pedro, CA, with frequent visits to Long Beach due to family ties, I’ve always been a visual learner. From a young age, I possessed a keen eye for artistry. I find immense fulfillment in crafting authentic narratives through my work, recognizing that every photo and video expresses a unique story. This reflects my belief that everyone is a creator in their own right, contributing to real-life experiences.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Instagram has been instrumental in establishing my reputation within my market. Consistently showcasing my work has been key. Additionally, I’ve found that well-designed business cards are invaluable assets. Despite some overlooking their importance, a well designed business card reflects your lifestyle and can make a significant impact, especially in social settings.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
Understanding both personal and business credit is essential. Maintaining a strong personal credit score is crucial, as it enables you to leverage funds for your business when needed. A solid personal credit score can significantly boost your chances to secure financial stability for business growth.
