We recently connected with Chaye Walker and have shared our conversation below.
Chaye , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
When I discovered how important it is to operate solely on faith and to not depend on my own understanding it was truly a game changer. I learned the importance of being grounded in prayer. I know for some folks it can be difficult to believe in something or someone that you can’t see which is why the word says “Be still and know” When I realized I needed more than what I was capable of producing with my own hands I began to pray to God for discernment and direction. I needed substance and a solid foundation. I desired to have a practice filled with good clients, amazing vendors, and I wanted to create an environment that would create a vibe of consistency. When I learned to pray for my foundation versus day to day functioning things changed. There has been far more value in a life with God than a life of independent thinking.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a newly inspired published author and a motivating purpose-driven life coach. I am known as The Coach of Courage, an advocate for those who have been left to feel defeated. I’d like to think of myself as the guru of helping others transition from victim to victor. I am intentional about being an example of the unconditional love that the world needs. Unlearning and relearning how to withstand spiritual warfare is the key to living a victorious and abundant life. The primary focus in my coaching program is Healing, Forgiveness, Marriage, and Accountability. I host Accountability courses that gracefully guide others through understanding the importance of accountability and the positive impact it can have on everyday living. I am currently working on earning my degree in Theology from Saint Leo University with the desire to become a Theology Professor. I desire to free others from the posttrauma of old church hurt and judgment. I host major studies in Psychology and minor studies in business management and finance. I earned a holistic health and wellness certification with the primary focus in reflexology and special studies with herbs and essential oil extraction. I became a registered wellness coach and yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance in 2017 and opened my very own Wellness Center in Georgia in 2018. I am currently working on opening a training facility and primary location in Florida, The Synergy House Wellness Center, formerly known as GotDammit Again.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

And of course
REFINED: A Guide to Accept and Release the Things that No Longer Serve You by Chavis D. Walker

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn trauma bonding behavior. I discovered that I wasn’t being productive keeping company with people that were not ready to heal and overcome their situations.
I accepted that iron sharpens iron and in order to move forward you have to release things and even people that do not serve you well.
Staying in places that do not contribute to your future is a waste of time. We are suppose to live abundantly.
I also had to rid the ideology of what success is suppose to look like.
Success looks different for everyone and it cannot be compared.
