We were lucky to catch up with Chauncee Hollingsworth recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Chauncee, thanks for joining us today. Can you share a story that illustrates an important or relevant lesson you learned in school
I learned to always stay humble and always make the circle bigger. Don’t get ahead of yourself and think that you are too good to grow more. Your growth is connected to your ability to be humble in all circumstances.
Chauncee, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I built my business by showing people that I cared about them more than their performance on the court. My motto has always been person first and player second. Sports is what they do and not who they are.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
After more than 10 years as a professional basketball trainer I switched careers into full time real estate. It was a difficult decision because of the level risk it would take to pursue this with my also switching careers with me. I put my head down and I believed in who God created me to be.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn expecting the same result with every client I worked with. I had to learn to set standards but trust that the client I’m working with will pursue their own dream and not settle for average. I had to learn to approach every client differently. My expectations doesn’t change but my approach does.
