We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chasline Fontenot . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chasline below.
Chasline, appreciate you joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I want my legacy to be that of a woman who wholeheartedly followed Jesus and embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ. I aspire to be remembered as a beacon of kindness, joy, and strength. Someone who lit up rooms with love and a shining personality. A woman who faced life’s challenges with resilience, always bouncing back with the help of God’s power, goodness, and grace. I want to be remembered as a seeker and sharer of truth. Ultimately, I want to be a walking representation of God’s love and a source of inspiration for others.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Most would say we are living in crazy times, and many are struggling to find beauty in everyday life. People want to be encouraged, inspired, and understood.
My custom designs are birthed from real-life experiences, and this is what makes them relatable to my customers. Those experiences are transformed into simple, yet bold affirmations on apparel, accessories, and home decor.
Realizing there is a deep demand for light in our world allows Identity by Chas to bridge the gap between real life pain points and hope. This is what my business is based on, inspiring others and drawing them to Christ by sharing the importance of knowing who God is and knowing who you are in God.
Identity by Chas has also expanded to its sister business, So Chas, which specializes in digital designs and customized party favors/gift baskets.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
When it comes to creating a social media presence, consistency, engaging content, and authenticity are key! To start, it is important to be consistent and regularly posting and interacting with your audience. This helps build trust and keeps your followers engaged. Secondly, focus on creating content that is not only visually appealing but also sparks real conversation and encourages interaction. Lastly, always stay true to yourself and your brand. Authenticity is what sets you apart and helps you connect with your audience on a deeper level.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
There was a time when I had to make a tough decision on how to move forward with my business. I realized that I didn’t fully understand the ins and outs of running a business, but my vision was still deeply rooted in my heart. Instead of letting that setback define me, I chose to rebrand my business.
Navigating through the closure, comeback, and rebranding wasn’t easy, but I knew I had to persevere. I took the opportunity to learn from my mistakes and gain a deeper understanding of the business world. With determination and a renewed sense of purpose, I rebranded my business, incorporating the valuable lessons I had learned.
This experience taught me the importance of resilience and adaptability. It showed me that setbacks are not the end, but rather an opportunity for growth and transformation. By embracing change and staying true to my vision, I was able to overcome challenges and rebuild my business stronger than ever before.
Resilience drives me to constantly seek improvement, think outside the box, and create innovative solutions.
