We recently connected with Charnice Hale and have shared our conversation below.

Charnice, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Are you happy running your own firm? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?

In the beginning, I always had the pull to promote and brand, but not entirely know what for. Later on, I realized that I was prepping to be a business owner. Once I discovered the talents that I would later on use; it began to make more sense to me as I grew more into my purpose.

I am happy to be running my own business. I do think about the days when I was employed at a regular job. I also remember not truly being happy. Knowing when you are not walking into your calling, feeling overworked and undervalued; it’s not a great feeling. There is not one minute that I think about what it would be like to be at a regular job. But I am so glad to be free from it because I would have not discovered my purpose.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

My creative journey dates all the way back to 5th grade. Teachers spotted my interest and with their help, I pursued those interests as a visual artist. Later my interest flourished into graphic design, photography, and videography.

Since then I have made it my overall goal to “create a visual representation through photography, graphic design, and videographer.” I have been specializing in what I love to do for 12+ years.

I work with individuals, businesses, and organizations as a creative consultant. Helping business owners and nonprofit organizations establish a clear and concise brand identity through photography, videography, and graphic design.

My projects include website design & SEO, product shot photography, logo design, print & digital advertisement, social media management, branded merchandise, lifestyle & branding photography, and videography, just to name a few.

Within each of the projects that I complete, it is always my goal to create something AMAZING!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I pivoted in my business 2 years ago. When I started out as a business owner, I predominantly focused on photography with hints of graphic design and videography. I spent my time photographing families, graduation portraits, and events such as baby showers and weddings. It was initially what I thought that I wanted to do but it did not truly encompass all that I saw myself to be.

And so in the last 2 years, I switched my entire focus and really began to settle in on a brand that had me written all over it. I picked the things that I liked when I intertwined photography, graphic design, and videography together. This is how I have been able to create the new objective at C.P. Hale Innovations Estate LLC for 2022 and beyond.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

Along with being a photographer, graphic designer, and videographer, I am also a self-published author. I have successfully published 4 books.

“The Basics of Photography: Getting Started,” is my most recent literary work where I dive into techniques learned and assignments for those who are just starting out in photography.

I also love to chat with other creatives in the industry so I have created a mini-series on YouTube called, “Chat with your Graphic Designer.” My goal for my mini-series is to help people gain knowledge from a graphic designer’s perspective when it comes to their business and branding efforts.

Lastly, I am always reaching back to pour into young girls when it comes to finding their calling/purpose in life. Looking back at my story, I discovered my purpose very early in life and I want to also help young girls with discovering their goals in life early and not later. I was honored to host a girl’s empowerment workshop, which I plan to expand on in the future.
