We were lucky to catch up with Charlie Watts recently and have shared our conversation below.

Charlie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the toughest things about progressing in your creative career is that there are almost always unexpected problems that come up – problems that you often can’t read about in advance, can’t prepare for, etc. Have you had such and experience and if so, can you tell us the story of one of those unexpected problems you’ve encountered?

The camera I use to photograph auras is call the Auracam 6000. The camera is a very specialized, sensitive, temperamental device. Created by Dr. Guy Coggins in the 1970s, the AuraCam 6000 gathers data from you via hand sensors that take electro-dermal and temperature readings to create your aura portrait. Our camera goes by Dottie, and she came to us through a serendipitous estate sale. There was no guarantee that she would work when we bought her. But we got lucky and have since acquired 3 more auracams. The real struggle now is how to expand but still keep the quality control on the experience for our clients when the cameras don’t always want to cooperate.

Charlie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Not only does your aura surround you, it also weaves in and out of all aspects of your life. Aura photography captures a unique reflection of your energy and gives you a road map of your present moment. Aura photos shine a mirror onto your one-of-a-kind light.

Aura Weaver was founded by Charlie Watts and Judah Andrews. We are artists and musicians who are fascinated by all things related to the magical and supernatural sphere. Charlie, a professional fine arts photographer and sound healer, currently is expanding her skills with doctoral studies in occupational therapy. Judah, certified as a meditation teacher by David Nichtern at Dharma Moon, is a magical circus performer, having traveled throughout the United States with the Splatter Time Players to bring twisted fairytales to Renaissance fairs.

Two years ago, Dottie the Auracam 6000, a camera invented in the 1970s, came into our lives. Since then, together we have photographed more than 5,000 auras. Weaving aura photography through our lives has resulted in a beautiful dovetailing of art and magic. We are so proud of the little magical biz and being able to collaborate with such brands as Spanx, Madewell, Mailchimp, Dillards, Hendrick’s, and Lulu Lemon.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Embarking on a creative journey, I am driven by the profound mission to illuminate the true essence of humanity, transcending the notion of being mere physical entities. My goal is to reveal the vibrant, energetic beings that we all are, adorned with radiant auras that encapsulate our unique spirits. Through my artistic endeavors, I aspire to awaken the collective consciousness to the realization that we are more than just “walking meat suits.” Instead, we are celestial beings of light, with each individual’s aura symbolizing their divine energy and inherent beauty. By harnessing the transformative power of art, I am determined to inspire others to embrace their inner luminosity, fostering a deeper connection with themselves, others, and the universe as a whole.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

As a profession artist and mystic, the most rewarding aspect of my journey lies in the ability to serve as a catalyst for personal growth and self-discovery. Through the harmonious marriage of creative expression and spiritual insight, I help individuals uncover their true essence and unlock the mysteries within. By delving into the depths of the human psyche and soul, I witness the awe-inspiring transformation of lives, as individuals awaken to their inner power, align with their purpose, and embrace their spiritual gifts. These moments of revelation and enlightenment not only validate my path but also bring me immense joy and fulfillment.
