Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Charlie (blu) Braithwaite-hatzigeorgiou. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Charlie (blu) thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
all my basic technical knowledge came from just youtube and being around others who taught me, but my creative knowledge came from years of growing up around creative people and just exploring as a kid.
knowing what i know no i probably wouldn’t change the process of learning as the hours i put in is also what part of the learning was, it taught a lot of patience.
i dont think i had many obstacles learning more but i would say that i have definitely made an effort to take more time to learn instead of trying to skip steps
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
im blu, im a music producer from victoria australia. i was always surrounded by music from a young age coming from a musical family, i was always finding ways to create music since i could remember but started making beats when i was 13 being inspired by the music i was listening to at the time, ever since then i have just been perfecting my craft and progressing so far i have produced for the likes of kid cudi, lil yachty, lil tecca, fimigurrero, dc the don and many more. my biggest attribute is my sound, many of my beats have distinct unique sounds that set them apart from others i think that is what will get me the furthest in my career
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
my goal is to inspire others, thats what its always been, i loved hearing things as a kid and being inspired i just wanna pass that on to the next generation
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
post alot and get your name everywhere, i dont post as often as i use to but when your first starting out thats whats gonna get your foot in the door. other than that for my social media it was alot of just working with other creatives that would lead to more people finding me, for example i would work with an artist then they would tag me then people would find my page through that.
