Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Charlette Savoie. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Charlette thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Folks often look at a successful business and imagine it was an overnight success, but from what we’ve seen this is often far from the truth. We’d love to hear your scaling up story – walk us through how you grew over time – what were some of the big things you had to do to grow and what was that scaling up journey like?
The one thing I kept consistent was faith. I knew what my “someday” goal was. I never let go of that image and where I wanted to get to. There were some highs and some lows. With the pandemic and being a small business, it has been pretty shaky and unsure from day to day. Every day I start by imagining my future goal. Knowing that even if just for today I made a social media post or sent one email it was working towards that goal. There are times I was pretty sure things had reached their limit and I may have to give in. Those moments I stepped back, took a few breaths and reminded myself that no matter what, and even if I did not know how I was going to get there, I had a dream. I was not ready to give up in my heart.
Small little things would line up. Opportunities and connections. Most did not have an immediate impact, but I knew each one was significant and would add up someday. Financially it was still not gaining traction, but my business name was. I kept the faith that all of this recognition was for a reason and someday it would change things.
It started with friends just sharing my business, giving me chances to collaborate and meet new people. I put every effort in on social media and anywhere else I could. Eventually some of the people I looked up to the most were noticing. Those chances led to people just recognizing me and my work when I was at events. I knew that all these connections and opportunities were leading to something even if I could not see the result yet.
Even in the hardest, lowest, and most stressful of moments I continued to outwardly spread positive and kept pushing forward. It really was a passion and some stubbornness that was kept me going. Spending countless hours researching, creating, and promoting my business through social media. Traveling hours for just a few hours to be present at an event to talk about what I do and show my work. Spending all my earnings to expanding and growing.
Eventually it made a shift. My own small business was making it.
Recently it brought me an opportunity to purchase another small business that I was a supporter of. I was using their platform to showcase my business. They noticed my growth and commitment. Since this company was in alignment with what I was already doing, it also was supporting my dream of building a bigger community and helping others along the way. All that hard work and keeping the faith in what I believed in finally felt like my vison was now a reality. I still have growth and hard work ahead of me, but now I can things moving towards the dream a little more every day.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Within the last ten years I have grown into the gifts I didn’t fully knew I had my whole life. Combined with being an empath, things were not easy to understand and manage. I started with a fear of death, and anything related to that. I pushed that fear to curiosity and pursued investigating the paranormal. Through my own experiences and amazing people along the way I have been able to grow and use those gifts to help others. I discovered my fear was not fueled by an overactive imagination, but actual messages spirits were trying to tell me. I went on from there to train in Reiki and Energy Healing. I finally felt like I had a place in the world, and I could help others well.
Building on my previous experience as a college instructor I developed classes to help others start their journey as well I had the great honor to study Divination History through Harvard and love making pendulums, rune stones, and dowsing rods. Along with other handcrafted items.
I found my passion being able to mentor other Empaths in their healing journey. Bringing my own journey and healing to share and help support them. It has been one of the most rewarding and amazing experiences. Allowing them to tell their stories and be a safe space for them to feel comfortable with who they are. Seeing them shift from feeling broken to being absolutely perfect just the way they are.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I think this is a great question. My answer is yes and no. I have found a lot of helpful information. However, not one source had everything. I had to sift through and take what resonated with me. Then recreate it to fit me. One thing about a spiritual journey is that it is yours. No one else will do it like you and you should never do it like someone else.
There is a misconception that everyone in this field does it all the same and you have to do things perfectly to have those amazing experiences. The truth is you do not. For instance, meditation, some will have a highly enlightened experience. Some will just feel calm. Both are absolutely perfect. The other thing is it will be different tomorrow.
I made the assumption when I started, I had to have what others had, or experience what others did. All I really needed to do is what I felt in my heart was right and what made me happy. I use the things I read to help spark my imagination. If you want to be unique, just be you. I find the things I am most passionate about people notice and want to be a part of it. If I get asked if I teach a certain class and I know the topic, but it doesn’t resonate with me, it is not mine to teach. I refer them to someone that is passionate about it.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I am certain everyone had this moment but when the pandemic hit. My whole in person business had to shift to online. I needed a website to sell online, a platform to teach online, and I was not even sure I would be able to perform my services online since I had never tried that. I had built my whole business on in person sessions. My income completely stopped, and I had shift fast.
I turned to social media and tried everything I could think of. I got creative and stayed in touch with clients as much as possible. Even to just check in from time to time.
I am grateful for those moments because it pushed me outside my comfort zone and allowed me to learn a new way of doing business. How to market and new expenses I had never thought of before. It really rebuilt my business and my confidence from the ground up.
